 Basic Chinese Writing Stokes
There are eight basic stokes.

5 丶 點 diăn Dot Dot to lower right and pause 六、小
6 亅 鈎 gōu Hook Vertically from top to bottom and hook 子、了
7 乛 折 zhé Turning Stroke Horizontally from left to right and turn 口、也
8 ˊ 提 tí Rising Stroke Dot from bottom left to top right 泳、地
