    Photoshop Tutorial Four

    Colour Splash
    In the Layers panel, right click the background layer and select Duplicate Layer. Name the new layer “Black and White”.

    Convert the “Black and White” layer to black and white (use the
    tutorial if you need to!)

    Still working on the “Black and White”


    layer, select the “Add Layer Mask” tool at
    the bottom of the layers panel.

    Select the Eraser Tool on the main tool panel, and choose your settings
    from the top panel.

    Using the Eraser Tool, erase the areas of the subject from the “Black and
    White” layer. Remember you can adjust your Eraser settings to help you
    remove the finer edges of the image.

    Save your changes as a NEW FILE!
