PROPOSAL for ISI REGISTRATION

This constitutes a proposal tendered by CERTPEDIA to assist a Brand/Manufacturer in the ISI Certification of Processed
Cereal Based Complementary Foods –Specification ( Third Revision )

IS Testing standard: IS 11536 : 2022

Objectives

The Objectives for the project include:

• Analysis of the Products for the formation of Family as per the BIS Rules.
• Coordinating with Brand, Overseas Supplier and the Testing Lab to get the Product Tested.
• Helping the Supplier and the Brand in the Documentation as per the requirements of the BISDepartment.
• Taking care of ISI Registration Process
• Assisting the Client to prepare the Documents/Design Label/Marking Label as per the MandatoryRequirements of BIS.
Scope of Work & Road Map
You will get support and assistance for following part of job-

Step 1: Preparation of Manufacturing Unit as per relevant Indian Standard

• Identification of applicable Indian Standard


• Preparation and Collection of the Testing Sample from applicant.
• Testing of sample at the BIS approved lab
• Issuing the guideline about Non-Conformity (NC), if any and resolution
• Issue of Test Report for your reference
• Setting up of in-house testing facilities

Step 2: Filing of the Application Form

• Arrange the Internal Test Reports of product as per test report generated by BIS approved lab
• Compiling of all required documents.
• Remittance of the application fees directly to BIS.
• Filling-up the Application Form.
• Submission of Application Form with all enclosures
• Getting the confirmation about scrutiny of documents by BIS Office

Step 3: Remittance of Audit Fees & Travelling Expenses for Inspection

• Pay the audit fees for inspection


• Get the confirmation about BIS Inspection Team
• Organize the Ticket, Lodging & Boarding for visiting officer(s)
• Inspection team will visit the Factory for Physical Verification
• Team will verify the Factory Set-up & Quality Control Process
• Team will pick the random sample(s) to be tested in BIS Approved Lab allocated by BIS office.

Step 4: Organize the Lab Test Report (LTR)

• Deliver the sample(s) (picked-up by team) of product to the assigned lab for testing
• Delivering the Test Report to BIS.

Step 5: Closure of Non-Conformity (if any) and Remit the Official Fees

• Rectify the process of Factory Unit, if inspection team points out


• Submit the proof of rectification done by unit to close non-conformity (NC closure)
• Pay the annual marking fees (annual license fees) to BIS

Step 6: Get the ISI Marking / Registration Certificate

(With indicating the distance from Airport, Railway Station and City Centre etc)

• Authorized Indian Representative (AIR) / Indian Liaison Partner Details

Note :- ISI Certificate is granted for 1 year, Afterwards it can be renewed by submitting relevant documents and fee.

Resource Commitments

Certpedia will provide a Project Coordinator (PC). PC will be continually involved in all aspects of the project, and serve as a primary
contact.

All of our work is conducted within strict bounds of confidentiality.

We will also provide the Sample Format of all the Required Documents and other Support Services as required.

Manufacturer/Supplier will provide us the documents and Basic Company information (required solely for ISI Registration), as
appropriate, within the time-frames.
