A: FUNCTIONAL SCOPE
Steps Registration Process Timing
1 Documentation prior to submission of 01-15 Working days
application (To de filled by Manufacturer)
2 Submission of hardcopy of complete 16-18 Working days
application to BIS office
3 After submission, Acknowledgement number 19-35 Working days
will be generated by BIS office.
4 Scrutiny of application file by BIS officials 36-66 Working days
5 Assigning of BIS officer for the file. 67-70 Working days (Depends upon
officer availability )
6 Date of Inspection (Audit) will be allotted by 70 to 100 Working days
BIS officer
7 On-site Inspection by BIS officials: Inspection 101-107 Working days (depends upon
Audit industries)
8 Sealed sample are transfer to the given 101-115 Working days (depends upon
laboratory by BIS official countries)
9 Follow up with Test Lab till final report is 115 – 145 Working days

10 After sample testing, Manufacturer would be 146-150 Working days (Depends upon the
required to pay licence fee: Advance minimum time taken by manufacturer)

Basic Aspects:
a) The work shall be done with close cooperation of both the parties.
b) The commencement of the project will be post receiving necessary documents.
c) Quick response in terms of documentation approvals, acceptances, reviews and clarifications
as required at various stages of the project will help to meet project tenure effectively and
efficiently.
B: COMMERCIAL SCOPE:
Service fee shall be paid as agreed & stipulated in the service contract
C: SCOPE OF WORK:
a) Appointment of dedicated Project Coordinator for project case study & training.
b) Preparation of entire paper work related to the certification.
c) Training of QCI and other preparation before inspection in factory premises if required.
d) Guidance for Samples as per the requirement of Indian Standards Specification
e) Coordination with BIS which includes detailed application preparation, submission, replying
to time to time queries, providing clarifications, multiple visits to BIS offices.
f) FinTax Consultant(s) will Visiting the Manufacturing side at the time of inspection with BIS
officer.
Note: Three sets of documents (Hard copy) are required for submission of file on letterhead with
sign stamp. (With English translation)
