Product Management activity for Module no. 1

Activity 1.

A. Create an evaluation by observing how Product managers work in McDonald’s / Jollibee

or any other business establishment.

Product managers are in charge of creating new products for a company or

organization. They are also responsible for developing an effective business strategy,
defining requirements for product development, negotiating with stakeholders, and other
duties. Product managers can also be seen assisting with product promotion.

The daily routine of a Product manager in a fast-food chain like Jollibee is to check the
completeness of manpower and materials needed for the day's operation, the working
condition of the machines, and the various methods used for the entire day's game plan
focusing on customer satisfaction. They keep in mind to always strive to please your
customers. "Always put the customer first." Their day begins with many difficulties. Every
day is a learning day.

Product manager at Jollibee learned to deal with a wide range of people's attitudes and
needs. The management team was supportive, and they distributed benefits to all
employees. The most difficult aspect of their job is the long hours of duty, and they may be
called to report even they are off-duty or at home.

But the most enjoyable aspect of their job was meeting the store's goals through
teamwork, as well as the motivational seminars provided by the company for employees,
and the day-to-day operations were enjoyable.

B. Make an assessment about a Popular product that there is in the market right now.
From that, draw a conclusion how the product was marketed.

Since the early days of social media and social commerce, Coke has been successfully
executing their social media marketing strategy. Their strategies have played a significant
role in their marketing innovation for nearly a decade.

Coca-Cola reveals that their overall strategy has been to develop "brand stories" through
a conversation model since day one. They want their brand to be associated with stories —
so much so that it is brought up in casual conversation.

They are masters of clever and creative campaigns, such as the soft drinks giant's
'Share a Coke' campaign, which incorporated the social element on a global scale and was
hugely successful.
