Introduction:

Etisalat and DU are telecommunication companies present in the united Arab Emirates. Both of these
companies offer carrier services and compete in the vast market.
Etisalat was founded in 1976 with its headquarters located in Abu Dhabi. It is currently also serving
companies outside the gulf, such as Pakistan, Egypt, Afghanistan, Mali, Gabon etc. The chairman of this
company is Eissa Al Suwaidi. Product range offered by this company includes fixed line and mobile
telephone, internet services and digital television.
DU is comparatively a new company as it was recently founded in 2005. Its headquarters are present
in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The services are limited to UAE region. Products and services currently
being offered by them include fixed line and mobile telephone, internet service, and digital television.

Methodology:
This research is aimed at getting information from the users of these two telecommunication
industries about their experience using their products and services. The survey conducted consists of
three parts. First, there are four questions in which personal information about the user will be taken. In
the second part, the users will be asked how satisfied they are by the products, packages and after sale
service provided by the two companies. The last part will ask suggestions for ways to improve the
company. Survey data was taken from 15 users of each company and analyzed using correlation and
regression technique.

Conclusion:
The survey we conducted was to get the opinion of the customers regarding the products, customer
service and packages offered by the two tele communication companies. In the last part we plotted a
graph between customer satisfaction and package. The correlation analysis of both companies show a
weak positive relationship. The regression analysis showed a steeper positive slope for Etisalat while the
slope for DU was flatter. Hence, the performance of Etisalat is comparatively better then DU. Judging
from this data analysis we conducted regarding consumer response to the packages offered by these
telecommunication companies, we conclude that Etisalat has performed better in satisfying their
customers with their packages.
