WORK SCOPE NARRATIVE

1.0 Scope of work and requirements

1.0.1 Scope of work


PETROTRANS shall provide, without limitation, all facilities, tools, labour,
supervision, technical and professional services, material, equipment, supplies and
consumables including any other work required for the Civil Works construction of
the pipeline right-of-way (KP502+500 - KP622+800) = 120.38KM and the BVS
(Block Valve Stations), inclusive of, but not limited to, equipment and manpower
mobilization/demobilization, underground obstacles protection, trench excavation,
dewatering (if need), minor rivers/stream/ditch (open cut) crossing,roads open-cut
crossing, pipeline trench backfilling, warning tape laying, erosion trench top
protection (KP398+700-KP622+800), pipeline Markers/Warning Sign Installation, site
grounding, road building, paving works, fence/gates/bollards/crash barriers building,
storm water drainage network, drain pit building, telecom-duct-banks &pull pits work,
concrete works, and all related work as per specifications and the drawings etc.
Except warning tape, markers and posts, all other material required to complete the
WORK shall be supplied by BCL (BRENTEX CPP LIMITED).

1.0.2 General Requirements


PETROTRANS shall comply with “Approved for Construction” drawings,
specifications, procedures, plans and the applicable specified installation and
construction standards and codes and BCL instructions.
PETROTRANS Construction WORK shall include but not limited to the following:
a) Obtaining all required licenses, approvals and permits for the WORK.
b) PETROTRANS shall meet all the requirement of the BCL procedures as
contained in the list of procedures of the BCL or instructions of the Project according
to the requirements of the Project.
c) Providing Auxiliary and/or Temporary Work, Facilities and other facilities required
for the WORK.
d) PETROTRANS shall implement the necessary quality management program to
ensure that the WORK is completed to provide safe, reliable operating process, and

as a minimum, meets all specified requirements and BCL procedures of quality
management system, which includes providing and implementing a quality
assurance plan and developing and implementing quality control procedures. The
detailed requirement to be followed are the QA/QC and HSSE Policy of BCL as
provided.
The quality of works by PETROTRANS shall meet the normative requirements and
industrial standards.
The quality of works by PETROTRANS shall be in accordance with the requirement
of the relevant drawings and the local authority.
e) Maintenance of all Auxiliary and/or Temporary Facilities required for the WORK
shall be carried out diligently by PETROTRANS.
f) PETROTRANS shall maintain construction records in the formats to be submitted
for approval by BCL.

1.0.3 Responsibility
1.0.3.1 The PETROTRANS Site Representative on the SITE and his foremen would
be responsible for appropriate WORK on the basis of existing LAW, DRAWINGS and
ground reinstatement project received from BCL and according to the present
Procedure.

1.0.3.2 PETROTRANS shall keep all scrap materials cleaned up throughout the
course of the work, and upon completion shall clean the work area of all scrap,
debris, cuttings and other waste material.

1.0.4 Warranty
PETROTRANS shall give warranty for quality of executed works for one year, and
the warranty duration shall be finally decided by the formal contract. PETROTRANS
shall eliminate all imperfections discovered during the warranty period.

1.0.5 Inspection
PETROTRANS QA/QC supervisor, spread coordinator or construction area
managers for the works shall control implementation of requirements of LAW and
DRAWINGS together with BCL and INSPECTOR.

1.0.6 Laws
PETROTRANS shall observe the laws of Republic of Nigeria.

1.0.7 Safety
PETROTRANS shall obtain Permit of work from BCL before starting of the work.
During WORK implementation, the safety rules and specifications shall be observed.
WORK will comply with health and safety regulations of the local authority.
PETROTRANS personnel/visitors shall follow, before entering the construction site,
a brief induction course concerning all the HSE issues and adhere to those issues at
all times.
PETROTRANS personnel/visitors shall wear at all times their PPE (Personal
Protection Equipment) when entering the construction site.
At regular intervals, preferable during toolbox meetings, the site personnel will be
updated and instructed on HSE issues.
PETROTRANS shall provide the necessary security for their own construction
manpower and work sites. PETROTRANS shall be solely responsible for any
damages, loss and/or injury to PETROTRANS equipment, devices and personnel.
