Learning Outcomes [ASSURE (State Objectives)]
The aim is to make the children know the names of different colors and make them able to identify those colors in
the paintings.

After learning about the colors and names of them by the concept map, the children will recognize that the colors
have different names and identify them with at least %90 accuracy.

After the concept map and presentation, the teacher will show them colors online and ask their names. The
children are expected to answer with %90 accuracy.

At the end of the lesson, the teacher will open the survey online and the children are expected to identify the color
that are used in the paintings, the true shades (light and dark) of the colors with at least %90 accuracy.

Instructional Materials & Media [ASSURE (Select Strategies, Technology, Media and Materials)]
Concept map by using bubbl.us (http://go.bubbl.us/d896cc/cd26?/Colors)
and a survey by using google forms (https://forms.gle/TysuhsfJShyHudmX6)
(a projector and a computer for both of them)
Learning-Teaching Methods [ASSURE (Select Strategies, Technology, Media and Materials)]
The “presentation (teacher-centered)” and “discussion (student-centered)” and direct method will be used in the
learning process. The teacher will introduce the colors by presenting and the students discuss those colors and try
to identify the colors in the paintings.

Teaching Activities [ASSURE (Utilize Technology, Media, and Materials and Require Learner Participation)]
A concept map is created for teaching the names of the colors.
A google form survey is created to assess the children’s learning of the names of the colors and identifying them.

Individual Learning Activities There won’t be any individual activities.

Group Learning Activities There will be a discussion on the survey part as they discuss
which colors are used and not used in the paintings. Also, the
teacher will bring some other paintings to make the children
identify the colors in person.
Summary
The aim of the lesson is to make the children identify and learn the names of colors, the concept of “light and dark”.
First of all, the teacher will present the colors by using the concept map that was prepared by using bubbl.us. Each
bubble are designed as the written color. She also talks about light and dark colors. By that, the teacher aims to
make the children see how the names of the colors are written and see the colors themselves. After that, the teacher
will show the survey that was prepared by using google forms, in that survey, there are questions as “which colors
are used in this painting?” “which colors are not used in this painting?” and questions that identifies light and dark
colors.
Measurement & Evaluation
Write the measurement and evaluation methods you will employ in that lesson.

Measurement & Assessment Activities for There are no individual activities.

Individual Performance

Measurement & Assessment Activities for The teacher will observe the knowledge of the children
Group Performance about the names of the colors and their identification.
Moreover, the teacher will observe the discussion of the
children to give the answers. Thus, they will be discussing
and answering the questions as a group.
Homework (optional) A similar survey will be prepared and sent to the parents to
gather individual performances. Their results will be examined
in the following lessons.
Explanation

Explanation regarding to the implementation of the plan

The teacher enters the classroom and greets the students, then asks what the color of the clothes she is
wearing is. Afterwards, she randomly shows a few objects in the classroom and asks for their colors.
Afterwards, she opens the concept map using the computer and the projector and makes a presentation to
the children over this concept map. The bubbles in the concept map are in the color of the colors written on
them. Afterwards, while the color discussion is held with the students over the objects in the classroom and
the children's clothes, the teacher continues to ask the names of these colors by projecting colors with a
projector. Finally, by projecting the survey with the projector, this survey is completed as a group activity and
by discussing it.

If there is no internet or the computer has a working problem, all the activities done with digital tools can be
done with proofs. For example, the teacher cuts the colored cardboards squarely and writes the names of the
colors on them, and the subject described in the concept map is completed through these colors. Afterwards,
after question and answer is done with colored cardboards, the printed versions of the paintings in the survey
and the colors in the paintings are distinguished. In this way, the event can be completed. As homework,
another survey similar to the one completed by the group at the end is prepared and sent to the families via
WhatsApp, and the children are asked to complete this survey as homework by the next day. In this way,
individual evaluation of students is made.
