Critical Comments and Reflections:

(Problems, successes, differentiated learners, and what to think about for next lesson)
Students were very engaged with the materials for this lesson, they enjoyed the facial expressions
shown of the various emotions. Most of the students succeeded in drawing a human-like figure and
demonstrated that there was an attempt at portraying a color for each mood, or facial expressions to
show this concept. Some students were still struggling with drawing shapes, however, we were
informed that this age group was not performing so well with basic skills, if we would have had more
time this may have been improved upon, but individualized help was given to those students that
needed it. We had previously wanted to introduce a monochromatic color scheme, but we revised our
plan and it seemed to go smoothly.
