reasons to study abroad

In the video i watched Katie said before that she studied abroad in Edinburgh Scotland last year.
she will talk about the reasons studying abroad :
1. independence, getting on a plane to study abroad was a lot scarier than you might think of
having to move to another country alone. I build confidence too building your confidence is
being friends with friends who challenge you know when you make friends in the host country
there's going to be a lot of things they ask you
2. sympathize with experience, go abroad or move abroad because it is a challenging experience,
a very valuable experience, you see the world from another angle and can open the scope of your
understanding of the world
3. skills, my geography skills have gotten better exponentially since i studied abroad
the most underrated thing that happens while studying abroad because just by being around other
people like besides class i learn most about life and culture from experiences outside of class so
really like to live life in the city than just you know get knowledge from museums or from a
textbook or reading you just got.
4. travel experience, i feel very lucky to have the experience to look back on and i definitely have
more general knowledge about this very wide world of these different countries but i can
definitely have surface level conversations about my experiences
5. the ability to make friends, I make friends with people who are just there and i have fun with
those people.
6. the ability to see things in culture i see wearing edinburgh university merchandise are other
americans studying abroad there like kind of fun fact
7. can travel, you have plenty of time if you want to get away
8. have free time to explore hobbies and interests in studying abroad, a lot of free time you have
the opportunity to study and travel
9. making memories, i keep a journal all the time, i try to take as many pictures as i can, i am so
happy that i wrote all these things because i don't want to forget them.
