Performance Task #3

1. Television

-The circuits of a television use hundreds of electronic components such as

transistors, resistors, and capacitors. A capacitor acts as an electric charge
reservoir, storing and releasing precise amounts of electricity. A television
contains a plethora of capacitors that serve as circuit couplers, timing
components, and electronic filters.

2. Refrigerator

-Capacitors store an electrical charge that is used to start a refrigerator's motor

when needed. A faulty capacitor prevents the appliance from cooling or causes the
motor to turn on and off more frequently than usual.

3. LED lights

-Capacitors are frequently used in LED drivers to smooth out and reduce power
supply ripple. Choosing the right capacitors for LED lighting systems reduces
flickering, eliminates excessive heat, and extends the life of the LED lights.
4. Electric Fan

-By generating an effective rotary field, a fan capacitor speeds up the start-up
and operation of an electric fan motor with two or three stator windings.
