I disagree with the statement that “Successful business people are born, not made” because
success is a never-ending battle. It is an adventure. It is a way of life for many people. Many
people are born with many of the skills, abilities, and attributes essential for success, but this
does not guarantee that they will be successful. If one uses them but does not know what to do
with them, the skills, traits, and abilities will be wasted. Some people are born with natural
talent or other socioeconomic advantages, whilst others develop their talent through
perseverance and hard effort and exceed others.
Inborn ability or another advantage, or the absence thereof, is merely the beginning point.
Success after that is determined on the beginning place. From that point forward, success is
determined by the individual's willingness and determination to grow and improve.
Successful business people are those that make the right decision at the right time based on
their knowledge and experience gained along the way. They are patient and follow a disciplined
way of life. When they become motivated, they will do all in their power to achieve their goals
and remain consistent throughout. To be successful in business, you must be organized,
creative, focused, and have excellent communication skills.
