- A person who is excessively concerned with the acquisition of


material possession is said to be materialistic.
CONSUMERISM

- This is the consumption of material goods and services in excess of


one’s basic needs.

- Consumerism refers to a tendency of people living in a capitalist


economy to engage in a lifestyle of excessive materialism that
revolves around reflexive, wasteful, or conspicuous
overconsumption.
