While taking this course, I found it difficult to follow a proper schedule.

In the beginning of the

semester, I created a schedule to help view how busy my week is. I realized I had very little time to study

and do things around the house. Most of my time was taken up by working or traveling to and from

school. Every Tuesday, I had work and went to class right after. My class started at 5:30pm and ended at

10pm. On Thursdays, I had to work 8-hour shifts for a work experience course. This led me to being

stressed out to having to maintain a good steady schedule, for chores and time for myself. A lot of the

times I ended up not following the schedule and not doing homework until the weekend. Some things I

had to take care of at home were cleaning, cooking and maintaining my pets. The main reason I joined

this class was to help me start a workout regimen and a healthy diet to continue after the semester.

A major issue I had was trying to workout. I found it hard to schedule a day I needed to go to the

gym. I did have a Pilates course and I attend class once a week. Even though this was a steady work out

for me. It didn't meet my exercise goals. My goal was to increase my muscle mass and lose weight. I did

increase some muscle, but I was not able to lose the weight that I wanted to. I also learned about

flexibility in this class and the Fitness for Living course. I was happy I was able to apply my knowledge

learning about flexibility into my Pilates class. It has helped me feel less stiff and to have in mind and

body awareness. The times I was able to go to the gym to complete assignments or when I had some

time to sacrifice, I was able to see a change in my range of motion. When doing the exercises. Flexibility

has helped me be more mobile for my work and helps maintain a proper form for exercise.

There were times it was difficult to attend. I tried waking up early before work, but I could not

get up since I had to wake up earlier. I would be tired at the end of the day, not having energy to go in. I

found studying was a priority, then had some time for myself before bed. This led me to realize not only

my schedule was an issue, but also my laziness. There were times when I was able to attend, but I didn't

want to go since I didn't have any other time for myself. I didn't see going to the gym as a benefit for me,
I just saw it as a hassle. Since I saw it that way, that’s didn’t let me start a routine. I know I need to

change my view, or else, things won’t change. I have to remind myself; I’m doing it for a better lifestyle.

Another issue I had was having a good diet. Yes, my schedule didn't give me enough time, but

also my laziness prevented me from having a clean diet. The assignment we did in class, Fast Food

Discussion, showed me how much caloric and nutritional value is in fast food. Especially show me how

many fast-food franchises are in my current location. For example, there are many McDonalds around

my area, which shows it’s a popular choice, but it also isn't the healthiest. I realize a lot of healthy

franchises aren't in every corner of my city. I consider Yoshinoya as one of the healthiest options. I'm

able to make. A meal that would be similar to a meal prep, protein, veggies and rice. that I would make

for myself at home. There's only two of those in my city, unfortunately.

I was lazy to cook, but I also found it time saving to get takeout, then having to go shopping, and

cook clean up afterwards. Already found it stressful to cook since I would have to count the calories since

I’m still learning. Doing the Three-Day Super Tracker assignment, It showed how much process food I eat.

It made me disappointed in myself to realize how unhealthy my diet is and how that contributes into

weight gain. Since this semester is ending. I would like to take the knowledge that I've learned and apply

it. I’m hoping to start a regimen that I want, since I would have more time. I will be able to cook and

shop for meal prepping. I'm able to apply my knowledge I learned from reading nutritional labels. When

I go shopping. I'm able to purchase foods that are high in protein and have low fat. I will also be more

aware of how many carbohydrates are in each serving. Now I won't have any excuse and start having

healthier lifestyle.
