The DAP-Sustainable Human Development Program cordially invites your LGU to

the following disaster risk management-related training events at the DAP
Conference Center in Tagaytay City through a face-to-face learning modality.

● Disaster Waste Management (DWM) Training

This 40-hour training aims to introduce post-disaster wastes as a local governance

concern that has an impact on human security and the environment during and after
a disaster. Specifically, the training is an opportunity for the LGU to learn about
post-disaster waste, its implications, management options to save human lives,
properties, and the environment, as well as opportunities for successfully managing
post-disaster waste. An output of the training is a standard operating procedure of
the LGU.

● Geographic Information System (GIS) Hazard Modeling Training for

Improved Decision-Making and Early Warning Action of Local
Government Units

This training will capacitate LGU staff to maximize the potential of GIS and
geoprocessing tools and techniques in forecast-based preparedness planning for
flood and landslide hazard events. This will provide support to local decision-makers
to make timely and appropriate assessments and actions with the use of generated
landslide and flood hazard susceptibility maps. This 40-hour training shall involve a
combination of lectures, practical demonstrations, hands-on exercises, and individual
preparation and reporting of output.
