This is an introduction about the story:

“Help me” says Helen Stoner. “My sister died, and now I am going to die too.”

Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson must answer the question of how Julia Stoner
died, two years ago.

If they cannot, then Helen Stoner will die too. But her house is very strange – and
her stepfather, Dr Grimesby Roylott, is very angry and does not want Holmes to
investigate.

Who killed Julia, and how? And why did she say “The speckled band!” before she
died?

About the author.

James Mathew Barrie, was born in Scotland on May 9th, 1860, and died on June
19th, 1937 in London
Scottish dramatist and novelist who is best known as the creator of Peter Pan, the
boy who refused to grow up.
When James was six, his 13-year-old brother David died in a skating accident he
was their mother's favorite child and she never recovered from the loss,
repeatedly confusing James with David.
That event marked his life and probably inspired him to create a story about a child
who never grew up as his dead brother.

About the story.

Peter Pan is the boy who never grows up. He lives in Neverland, an island with
fairies as Tinker Bell, The Lost Boys, pirates a crocodile and native Americans.
Wendy and her brothers met Peter and Tinker Bell and they all go to Neverland.
Neverland is wonderful and dangerous too.
Peter Pan is real but so are the pirates, and their terrible leader Captain Hook.
Peter Pan cut off Hook´s hand and now Hook wants revenge.
Who will win – Pan or Hook? And will Wendy and her brothers ever go home to
London?

Mr. Nick Nickleby died and left many debts, for that reason his
family must move to London looking for their father´s brother Mr.
Ralph Nickleby, however he turns to be a man who only cares
making money and sent Nicholas to Yorkshire as tutor at the
Dotheboys school. Once Nicholas reaches there he found out a
cruel reality.
