Current Events Research Project
Individually, or in groups of 2, you are tasked with researching a current event
topic and presenting it to the class. Think of it as summarizing the event for the
class, like a news segment. You can choose how you want to present (video,
PowerPoint, Google Slides, etc.).

Information that needs to be covered in your presentation:


What is the current event you have chosen to examine? Give a
brief summary of what is happening.
How does this event impact people’s everyday lives? What is the
international/global impact of this event?
Connect this event to something we have covered in this course.
Current events will always tie into the past! Think about content
from our units on government, World War I, Interwar Period,
World War II, and the Cold War. Make sure this is explicitly
mentioned in your presentation!
