Topic: Equipment and process selection

Equipment: Installation power socket

I. Definition: Installation Power socket is a setup device or point in a wall where you can
connect electrical equipment to the power supply
II. Goal: To supply power to customers with high quality and operate with safe receiver
without risk.
III. Activity
1) Understand about the operation of power socket and kinds of power socket
2) First cost: The total cost of installation materials and time
3) Ease of Installation: How do you install a power socket? Isolate the circuit and use a
voltage tester to double check that the existing socket is dead. Unscrew the faceplate of
the new socket, feed the cable into the mounting box through a rubber grommet and
connect its cores to the faceplate terminals. Cut the cable and do the same at the existing
socket.
4) Effectiveness: Ability of the device to use and install power socket
5) Lifespan: How long can use power socket last
6) High quality products: Including switch, Socket, MDB, Sub-db.
7) Operating Environment: Range of environment such as temperature or humidity that the
power socket can withstand while operating
8) Standard: Check if the product complies with standard for power socket
9) Warranty: The power socket should have a warranty. Most socket usually have a
warranty of 15-25 years.
10) Regular Testing: Turn the power off to the socket.
Test the socket by attaching the clip of the continuity tester to the hot screw terminal, the
black wire lead. Then, touch the probe to the metal tab in the bottom of the socket. The tester
should glow.
