The Department of Education through the Bureau of Curriculum Development - Special

Curricular Programs Division and in partnership with the Japan Foundation Manila
(JFM) announce the lineup activities for school year 2022-2023. The calendar of
activities shall serve as a guide to track all activities intended for SPFL Japanese
implementers.

To facilitate the timely release of funds related to these activities, all participants are
required to confirm their attendance for each activity by filling out the Confirmation
Form attached herein (See Annex I). The forms must be duly endorsed by the principals
and approved by either the Schools Division Superintendent/OIC or the Regional
Director. The forms must be scanned and sent through email to Ms. Josephine Intino,
focal person for SPFL-Japanese at josephine.intino@deped.gov.ph.
In recognition of the efforts and support of the teachers in implementing SPFL-Japanese

in their schools, they are eligible to avail of service credits commensurate to the
number of days they will attend trainings/seminars during weekends and holidays,
exclusive of the allowable 15 days for every year pursuant to DepEd Order No. 53, s.
2003 entitled Updated Guidelines on Grant of Vacation Service Credits to Teachers for
their participation in SPFL Japanese activities, provided that they have obtained prior
authority to attend the training duly approved by their respective Schools
Heads/Principals and Schools Division Superintendents.
SPFL Supervisors in the Regions and Divisions are reminded to closely monitor the
program and the teachers’ active participation and attendance, and to ensure the
successful implementation of SPFL-Japanese together with partner organization, The
Japan Foundation Manila.
