Title: TCQNHS Celebrates Philippines Independence Day with Creativity and Sustainability

In commemoration of the Philippines Independence Day, the students and faculty of TCQNHS had

the perfect opportunity to showcase their patriotism and creativity by participating in a flag-making

contest using recyclable materials. The event brought together an array of colors, shapes, and textures as

the students utilized their resourcefulness to create stunning representations of the Philippine national

flag.

The competition saw an incredible array of entries, featuring an amalgamation of various objects

and materials including plastic bottles, cardboard, old newspapers, and even plastic wrappers. It was

amazing to see how waste materials can be transformed into something beautiful. The judges had a

difficult time deciding the winner, as each entry was unique and beautiful in its own right.

Aside from the competition, the school was also extensively decorated with the national flag. Every

corner of the campus was adorned with hundreds of flags, from the hallways to the classrooms, from the

stage to the principal’s office. Everywhere you looked, the red, blue, and yellow of the flag caught your

eye, and you couldn’t help but feel a sense of pride and joy for our beloved country.

Overall, this Independence Day celebration was not only a celebration of Philippine independence,

but also a celebration of creativity and sustainability. The students and faculty of TCQNHS showed that

being patriotic does not have to come at the expense of the environment, and that through creativity, we

can turn trash into treasure. It was a beautiful celebration that highlighted the best of our country, its

people, and its culture.
