Evolution of internet

Many people who worked on various aspects of the internet's development made
contributions that can be credited for the development of the internet. These people
collaborated to develop the contemporary internet that we use today because they were
connected to one another at work.
J.C.R. Licklider, one of the internet's forerunners, had the idea of a world network of
interconnected computers in the 1960s. The US Department of Defense developed the
ARPANET as a result of his theories in the late 1960s. By putting forth the idea of packet
switching, an essential component of the internet, Paul Baran also helped the ARPANET
develop.
The TCP/IP protocol was created with assistance from Robert Kahn, who was hired by
Lawrence G. Roberts, the program manager of the ARPANET project. In collaboration with
Vint Cerf, Kahn created the TCP/IP protocol, which is the foundation of the internet.
The World Wide Web, a tool for online information exchange, is credited to Tim Berners-Lee
as its creator. The first web browser and the hypertext system, which made it simple to
navigate between web pages, were both developed by Berners-Lee.
Ray Tomlinson, the man who developed email, was another significant contributor to the
growth of the internet. In the 1970s, Tomlinson created the first email system, enabling
users to send messages among various computers connected to the ARPANET.
The work of each of these people was connected to the other, and as a result, their contributions
helped to develop the modern internet. Without Baran's idea of packet switching, the internet
might not have been scalable, and without Licklider's vision, there might not have been an ARPANET.
With the introduction of the World Wide Web by Berners-Lee, the internet was made widely
available thanks to the TCP/IP
protocol created by Kahn and
Cerf. Last but not least,
Tomlinson's creation of email
made it possible to
communicate over the internet,
which became a crucial
component of its use.
In conclusion, many people
worked together to develop the
internet, and their
interconnected efforts were
essential to the development of
the modern internet.
