CHAPTER I

NAME AND ADDRESS OF THE BUSINESS

The success of every firm depends heavily on entrepreneurship. It has a significant impact

on the economy since it stimulates innovation, produces new jobs, and fosters economic growth.

This includes the development and promotion of start-ups and small enterprises in a specific

location or religion. It entails supporting an environment where people can start and expand their

businesses, thus increasing the prosperity and creativity of the community. It can have a positive

impact on individuals, communities, and society as a whole.

The association's name is " Banat ta Bai''. It comes from our idea due to the variety in

products or menus which has two sides; the healthy and unhealthy side, which comprises ganas

juice, taho shake, kangkong chips, and cookie biscuits. The reason why it is called "banat" is

because of the various goods that we are offering, customers eat continuously till they can no

longer take anything else. Therefore, people would probably adore it, particularly Filipinos who

are fond of eating various foods whether it be healthy or not. Customers will keep on craving

more due to its glamorous and indulging quality that'll satisfy their appetite. At such a low cost,

the product's tastiness is ensured and quality is assured.

A food kiosk or food stall business is a small, independent food stall or stand that

normally sells a modest range of food and drinks. It can be found in an array of locations

including malls, train stations, airports, street corners, and even schools. It is a great prospect for

business owners who seek to establish a successful food business without having to pay high

overhead expenses connected with typical wall restaurants. The business's goods are also

available through social media channels like Facebook, Tiktok, or even online food delivery
2

services, where consumers can make orders that are then sent to food stalls where the food is

prepared and waiting to be delivered. With just a few clicks from their homes or workplaces,

people can quickly purchase food, and it will be delivered right to their door due to its

accessibility and convenience. Customers can immediately use online delivery platforms, which

will be quite helpful, to satisfy their appetites if they are distant from the food stalls that are

being located.

NATURE OF BUSINESS

Banat ta Bai business is a healthy snack and beverage kiosk that specializes in providing

unique and delicious treats made from natural and fresh ingredients. Our signature menu includes

Kangkong chips, Ganas juice, Cookie biscuits, and Taho shake. These items are designed to

promote a healthy lifestyle while satisfying your cravings for something tasty.

The kiosk is set up in a high-traffic location inside of Merchant Marine Academy of

Caraga Inc. during its Foundation days; the kiosk will be decorated to be eye-catching and

inviting. The owners are passionate about promoting healthy eating habits and offer a delivery

service for customers who prefer the convenience of having their snacks and drinks delivered to

their doorstep.

The Kangkong chips are a unique alternative to traditional potato chips, made from fresh

kangkong leaves that are fried to perfection. Ganas juice is a refreshing and nutritious beverage

made from the extracted sap from sweet potato leaves. The Cookie biscuits are homemade treats

made from cream-o biscuits that will be dipped in a batter and will be fried and to be filled with

different flavors of filling. Finally, the Taho shake is a creamy and delicious drink made from

fresh soy milk, sweetened with honey, and topped with tapioca pearls.
3

The owners take pride in creating a menu that offers healthier options that don't

compromise on taste. The kiosk's colorful and inviting setup makes it easy to stop by and grab a

snack or drink, and their delivery service makes it even easier to enjoy their delicious and

nutritious treats. Overall, this business is dedicated to providing customers with the best of both

worlds – tasty and healthy snacks and drinks that can be enjoyed on the go or in the comfort of

BUSINESS INDUSTRY OVERVIEW

Ready-to-eat foods known as snacks are frequently high in oil, flavoring, and cold

desserts like ice cream and jelly in our case taho shake will do as our cold dessert. Snacks are

produced using a variety of processes from a processing perspective. Popcorn, peanuts, nuts,

dried fruits, and similar ingredients are used to make the simplest category of snacks, also known

as first-generation snacks. The majority of snacks fall under the second-generation snack

category, which includes straightforward formed products made by cutting, sheeting, or forming

processes like regular-fabricated in our business kangkong chips will be formed, like common

chips in the market like potato chips, tortilla chips, and pretzels, as well as products made by

direct extrusion like corn chips, puffed or expanded corn products, balls, and curls.

Snacks of the third generation are made from extruded pellets that are frequently fried

and flavor-infused. Despite their negative reputation among dietitians, snacks are becoming more

and more popular because people are changing their eating habits and enjoying them more. Some

snacks are involving leaves and vegetables to let people enjoy it as a snack and to be more

healthy. The creation of wholesome and healthy snacks is the newest craze.

The snack-style food chain The Sweet and Flavorful can soothe your cravings. Everyone

can afford it and enjoys the delicious flavor. It is a sector that produces snacks like ice cream and

jelly, hamburgers, fries, and hotdogs, all of which have seen rising demand in recent years.

Income that is available for discretion has increased as the economy has grown. In turn,

increased consumer spending has increased sales of nuts, seeds, and snacks like tortilla and

potato chips.
11

As more people become health-conscious consumers, businesses will be encouraged to

offer more nutritious varieties of chips, pretzels, popcorn, and other snack foods.

The street food vendors who provide the same goods at reasonable prices are the current

competitors. Snacks are an ideal business during the Foundation Day of Merchant Marine

Academy Inc. as every student and staff inside the campus will be expected to busy, and will

need to have a snack that is easy to make and ready to go.
