Assignment 1 - Case studies: Students were presented with authentic situations that necessitated
identifying applicable building codes and regulations and soil analysis to propose design solutions
using bamboo as the building material. This exercise enabled the learners to apply the theoretical
knowledge acquired in the course to practical, real-life scenarios.
Assignment 2 - Client management simulation: Students were assigned a role-play simulation where
they interacted with clients, negotiated terms and conditions, and managed client expectations. This
can help students develop their communication and negotiation skills, which are critical for
successful professional practice.
Assignment 3 - Building code research: The task given to students was to provide a comprehensive
framework for researching the building code.
