1.

Has anyone ever evaluated the effectiveness of your staffing and selection
process in terms of quality of hire or retention? The organization I currently
work for was established long before I joined and there is no record(s) of such
process. Since I join, there hasn’t bee any process either and I don’t see any
prospect of such in this regard.
- Describe the evaluation process and the outcome. What did you change in
response to the evaluation? My current organization has not done any of
such process yet and I would like to suggest this the our supervisors. This
way we get to appreciate the present processes and make room to update
as/and when need be.

2. What steps are in place within your organization to help ensure quality of hire
and retention?
- There is a policy (recruitment policy/guidelines) that guides the entire
process within the organization. From the look of events, we have seen
the need to revisit the process and have made this recommendation to
senior management.

3. What best practices or tips do you have that may be helpful to others?
- At our organization, the entire process begins with the Personnel Request
Form (PRF). The best practice for me is the hiring kick-off meeting. This
meeting informs everyone about the rest of the steps and the timeline. I
see this as the key because everyone who’s involve with this process will
get to know and begin to make room so that when they are call upon,
they’ll be ready to support the process.
The hiring kick-off agenda asks and answer’s all the need – to – questions
surrounding the recruitment.

4. For anyone without a formal process in your organization (or one in which you
are familiar), think of a job you were hired for.

How would you evaluate your hiring experience?

What would you change about the hiring process if you were responsible for
hiring and retaining employees?

Be sure to describe the most effective and ineffective factors you experienced
during the process.

From my experience, I have not had that encountered that so, I may not be able
to make input on question 4.

Thanks all, for the opportunity,
