Scenario

University Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM), plans to expand their network. They choose to build a company branch office that
will be linked to the primary company network by an ISP. This demand requires upgrading the router administrator on the
current network as well as adding new hardware and setting it up. In addition, they desire provide the wireless connectivity
between the new branch and the current network. The network administrator has presented a simulation of the current
network as well as a diagram of the extended network in the future. You've been asked to modify the existing simulation to
ensure certain that the newly installed devices and configurations will perform as expected before buying equipment or
reconfiguring the real network.

Question 1 (CLO1, P3)

Configure the initial settings for all devices in the given topology according to the Table A1.
a. Configure Department Sc of Education
i. Change existing router to new router series 2911
ii. Add serial interface to slot 0 and slot 1
iii. Connect new router S0/1/0 to Internet S0/1/0 (DCE)
iv. Connect new router to Sw1 Fa0/5
v. Connect new router to others router based on list below:
• New router S0/0/1 to Router_Law S0/0/1(DCE)
• New router S0/0/0 (DCE) to Router_IT S0/0/1

b. Configure Basic Configuration:

i. Router name as Education


ii. For DCE use clock rate 128000
iii. Disable DNS lookup.
iv. Assign cisco as the console and vty passwords.
v. Configure a message of the day using words #UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS IS PROHIBITED#.
vi. Configure IP addresses for the routers, as listed in the Addressing Table

Question 2 (CLO1, P3)

a. Configure Department Sc Computer


Add new devices and setup as follow:
i. Add new router series 2911 and Switch 2960 between Internet and New branch office.
ii. Add serial interface to router
iii. Connect new router S0/0/1 (DCE) to Internet S0/1/1
iv. Connect switch Fa0/5 to new router

b. Configure new router as follow:
i. Router name as Computer
ii. Disable DNS lookup.
iii. Assign cisco as the console and vty passwords.
iv. Configure a message of the day using words #UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS IS PROHIBITED#.
v. Configure IP addresses for the routers, as listed in the Addressing Table
vi. For DCE use clock rate 128000

i. Configure excluded-address 192.168.6.1 192.168.6.15

a. Setup Wireless Network at Library


ii. Use wireless router WRT300N
iii. Name wireless router: WR_Library
iv. Connect wireless router to Switch 2960 Fa0/18
v. Configure on wireless router as follow:
• Use SSID name: LibraryAP
• Internet Setting used DHCP
• LAN Setting use IP Address: 192.168.8.1

b. Setup wireless network at Cafe:


i. Use wireless router WRT300N
ii. Connect wireless router to router Law
iii. Name wireless router: WR_Cafe
iv. Use SSID name: Cafe
v. Internet setting:
• Used static
• IP Address: 192.168.7.2/24
• Default gateway: 192.168.7.1
vi. LAN setting:
• IP Address: 192.168.10.1/24

c. Setup devices as follow:


i. PC use WMP300N as wireless NIC
ii. Laptop use WPC300N as wireless NIC
iii. Use DHCP to get IP Address
iv. Ping to web server

Question 4 (CLO1, P3)

Configure NetFlow on Router


a. Configure NetFlow data capture on serial interface on Router_Education. Capture data from ingress and egress
packets.
b. Configure NetFlow data export to PC_ Staf2 and UDP port number 9996 will be used for NetFlow collector.
c. Configure NetFlow export version. Set NetFlow version 9.

Verify Connection

a. PCs should be able to ping other PCs. Used below requirement:
