Capstone Update #4

What I have accomplished so far

From the last update, I have started two other necklace designs. They are simple but elegant pearl
designs that are easier to style than my other accessories. This could be a multipurpose necklace, for
casual or semi formal outfits.

What I plan to accomplish by the end of the week

I plan to upload all my designs with finalized prices and shipping policy.

My needs (materials, time, space, mentor etc.)

Designing the simple necklaces did not take long because I have made necklaces like these before. Since
they are simple, there are less things to worry about when designing them. The pearl necklace was very
repetitive since I had to make many of the same pattern which wasn’t as time consuming as I thought it
would be.

Challenges I encountered and how I have overcome them

The pink necklace I made from last update broke when I was testing out how strong the wire is. This was
the very reason why I was testing it. I switched out the wire with a thicker sturdier wire. It was a little
too sturdy and not flexible. The necklace holds its shape, which could be both good and bad. The
necklace is quite small, like a choker, which could make it uncomfortable if the necklace was hanging
around your neck and not hold its shape. The necklace is heavier than an average necklace since it is
made of beads which would make it uncomfortable.
