Liana incorporated and variety of teaching approaches and styles, appropriate to the

curriculum area and objectives of the lesson. She aimed to cater to the diverse learning
styles of individual students and respect the students’ diversity within our class. Liana
employed different teaching methodologies, such as explicit teaching in Literacy and Math,
Project Based Learning (PBL) lessons, and encouraged students to work individually on
their research inquiry about an Australian Historical event for their information reports. She
skilfully structured her lessons to create a relevant and engaging learning environment for
the students.
Liana actively research the content for her lessons and demonstrated a comprehensive
understanding of the subjects she taught. She skilfully developed a unit and delivered a
well-structured series of lessons spanning her placement weeks, encompassing the areas
of Literacy, Math and PBL. In her assessment and evaluation practices, Liana employed
various techniques such as utilising a rubrics for assessing students’ information report
writing, conducting formal assessments in Math through Seesaw and Google classroom,
providing oral feedback, and reviewing students’ completed assignments. She
demonstrated the ability to identify areas within the curriculum that required further
knowledge or understanding, initially seeking support but gradually growing more confident
in implementing strategies independently.

Throughout her placement, Liana developed a strong understanding of the students’


backgrounds, needs, interests, and unique personalities. She incorporated this knowledge
into the content of her lessons.

Liana consistently showed progress in her ability and drive to plan and deliver a
comprehensive learning program, incorporating various components, resources, and
activities. Her explanations of tasks and modelling techniques steadily improved, exhibiting
increased confidence and a strong grasp of the subject content. Liana showcased effective
use of resources and activities, employing various approaches such as whiteboard
explanations, computer-based tasks, and engaging hands-on activities. She recognised
the importance of accommodating all learning styles and navigating time constraints.

Liana consistently followed the established classroom routines, demonstrating her ability to
maintain consistency in the learning environment. With continued practice and experience,
Liana’s behaviour management strategies will further develop and strengthen over time.

Liana created a safe and supportive learning environment that had already been
established when she started. She effectively maintained positive behaviour and
consistent expectations for her students, ensuring their well-being and safety. Throughout
the practicum, including a class excursion, Liana consistently demonstrated her ability to
manage student behaviour and fulfill her duty of care.
