Introduction

Objective

Every student who enrols in a course at a university must complete 24 weeks of industrial
training. This industrial training is a requirement for every student before they may receive a
diploma from a public university. One of industrial training's primary goals is:

a. Give students the chance to use their knowledge and academic talents in the workplace.
b. Students' level of expertise, talents, and experience with organisations in their individual
fields of specialisation will increase.
c. Expose students to real work situations.
d. To blend in at work, improve on your communication, soft skills, and teamwork.
e. Create graduates with high levels of competency and competitiveness through LI
experience.
f. Increase the number of employment opportunities and students' level of marketability.
Scope of training

Every Universiti Malaysia Pahang student is expected to complete one semester of industrial
training. Students at Universiti Malaysia Pahang are expected to participate in industrial training
during the sixth semester. Industrial training should be carried out before the awarding of the
diploma.

For me, the purpose of this industrial training is to experience the workplace before entering
the real world of employment. In addition to applying the skills they learned at Universiti
Malaysia Pahang, the students will be exposed to the world of real work and learn how to
manage conditions and situations there.

After the industrial training exercise was finished, I felt more comfortable and assured that I
could comprehend the actual work environment. I can use what I've learned indirectly
throughout my stay at the university. In fact, it helps in my quest to learn more in general and
about working for myself. Additionally, the skills I develop at work will be very helpful once I
finish my studies.
2.0 Organisational Background

History of establishment

Temerloh Hospital is in the midst of the Kuala Lumpur-Kuantan Highway. It is in Mukim,

Perak's Temerloh District. It is surrounded by a 44-acre green landscape, which makes it
visually appealing and stunning. It began in June 2002 and ended on January 15, 2005, after a
34-month period. The cost of the project is approximately RM480 million. This hospital was
built to replace the Hospital Mentakab, which had been in operation for only one day. This
transformation has occurred not just for the people of Temerloh but also for the people of Kuala
Lipis, Raub, Maran, Bentong, Jerantut, and Bera.

His Majesty the Sultan of Pahang Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Al-Musta'in Billah Ibni Al-Marhum
Sultan Abu Bakar Ri'ayatuddin Al-Muadzam Shah concluded the inauguration of Temerloh
Hospital on Monday, March 27, 2006, matching to 26 Safar 1427H. This hospital was
constructed to replace Mentakab Hospital, which had been in operation for about a century.
Temerloh Hospital was also renamed Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Hospital (HOSHAS) during the
Opening Ceremony.
