DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHT SYSTEM

The daytime running light system is standard equipment on the Canada models and is available as optional
equipment on the U.S.A. models.
This system is designed to automatically activate the headlights at reduced brightness (high beam) during
the daytime to keep the car highly visible to other vehicles.
This system is controlled by the main body ECU.
This system is enabled when the conditions given below are met:
1) The ignition switch is ON.
2) Engine running condition.
3) Light control switch is OFF.

ILLUMINATED ENTRY SYSTEM

This system is controlled by the main body ECU.
When any one of the following conditions is satisfied, the illuminated entry system turns on the key
illumination, room light, front personal light and foot light*.
1) Any door is opened.
2) A door is unlocked through a driver door key transmitter operation.
3) All doors are closed and the ignition switch is turned from ON to OFF.
When any one of the following conditions is satisfied, these lights will fade out (in approx. 1 sec.).
1) After continuing to be on for approx. 15 sec. after all doors have been properly closed.
2) All doors are closed and all doors are locked.
3) All doors are closed and the ignition switch is turned to ACC or ON.

LIGHT AUTO TURN-OFF SYSTEM

The light auto turn-off system is standard equipment on all models.
When the headlights and taillights are illuminated through the operation of the light control switch, if the
ignition switch is turned OFF and all the doors are closed, this system continues to illuminate the
headlights and taillights for approximately 30 seconds, and then turns OFF the headlights. However, with
all the doors locked, when the lock button on the wireless remote control is pushed, the headlights and
taillights are turned OFF immediately.
When the ignition switch is turned OFF and the driver’s door is opened with the taillights on, this system
automatically turns them off.
This system is controlled by the main body ECU.
