Description PLC for Diesel Engines RH90-RH340 14.09.

2006

HEX-rotary switch (blue)

The HEX rotary switch is for CAN-BUS addressing and for the modification of the preinstalled configuration.
For proper running of the system, the switch setting always has to be 0!

Communication between PMS, CMS and PLC

The following signals are transmitted via the CAN-BUS from PMS to PLC :
• Pressure switch load (DSL) (is generated in the PMS from signals of the CMS)
• Pressure switch travel (DSF) (is generated in the PMS from signals of the CMS)
• Lowering revolutions (is calculated in the PMS)
• PMS IV built in (serial number is transmitted!)

Communication between CMS and PLC

The following signals are transmitted via the CAN-BUS from CMS to PLC :
• Left-hand engine running
• Right-hand engine running
• Ultrasonic sensor (if built in)

Communication between BCS and PLC

The following signals are stored permanently. Setting changes are only possible by the BCS :
default:
• Grease level sensor built in yes/no no
• Undercarriage greasing system built in yes/no no
• Greasing cycle (Pause = working time) ** 300s
• Type of excavator (necessary for the shut-off valves logic) RH120
• SAE-BUS built in yes/no (necessary for RPM reduction) no

After configuration or changing of the setting data, the data will be transmitted via CAN-BUS from BCS to PLC.
Data are stored in the PLC and read out again by the BCS.

Communication between PLC and BCS

The following signals are transmitted from PLC to BCS every 0.5 to 1.5 second:
• Every digital and analogue I/O signal
• Grease pressure failure (above 350bar) superstructure
• Pressure switch load
• Pressure switch travel
• Idle left
• Idle right
• Left Engine is running
• Right Engine is running
• PMS IV built in
• Shut-Off Valves closed
• Greasing system superstructure is activated
• Greasing system under carriage is activated
• General fault greasing system superstructure
• General fault greasing system undercarriage
• Pressure fault (above 350 bar) greasing system superstructure
• Grease container/barrel empty
• Failure proximity switch 1
• Failure proximity switch 2
• Cable broken grease pressure superstructure

• Cable broken grease level
• Shovel cylinder deactivation
• Filter Servo

Description of the Analogue Inputs:

terminals 57 and 59 are designed for: Voltage: 0 – 10V DC:

terminal function description:

57: Left-Hand Tank Fuel Level measuring the current fuel level of the left tank
the sensor has an effective range from 1V – 10V. Therefore the fuel
level is shown in per cent. The per cent level is calculated inside the
PLC (1V = 0% / 10V = 100%). The conversion to liter which takes into
account of the tank form is calculated inside the BCS!

59: Right-Hand Tank Fuel Level measuring the current fuel level of the right tank
please see the description of left-hand tank fuel level!

terminals 61, 63, 65, 67, 69 and 71 are designed for: Current: 4 – 20mA:

terminal function description:

61: Grease Pressure Superstructure measuring the current grease pressure of the superstructure grease
system **

63: *** Grease Pressure Undercarriage measuring the current grease pressure of the undercarriage grease
system **
