Grade 11 Culminating Activity Practical Assignment (100 Marks)

Please follow these instructions to complete your final practical assessment. This is an exam,
you must complete this on your own or as assigned. This is based on things you have been
given the opportunity to practice in class.

Part 1 (observation 10 marks): safely raise the assigned vehicle on the hoist following all of the required
safety procedures and using all of the recommended PPE.

Part 2 (observation 10 marks): remove the assigned tire and wheel from the vehicle.

Part 3 (observation/communication 15 marks): follow the required procedures to reinstall the tire and wheel
on the vehicle and torque it correctly.
A marking rubric will be in place on Brightspace – see rubric.

Part 4 (observation 60 marks): Ask your teacher for a tire with a puncture, follow all the required safety
procedures to properly repair the tire and rebalance it. The balancer must read zero on both planes when the
balancing procedure is completed.
Part 5 Precision Measurement (Product 20 Marks): Download the assignment document and ask your teacher
for the items you will measure, record your results on the fillable document and resubmit it. Rename the
document as culminating assignment (your name).
Part 6 Complete the culminating Quiz.
