Project/Presentation Guide and Template

Please use this template as a guide to think about your project or presentation. You do not need
to fill in this template, however it may be useful to think about what you might like to include in
your submission. You are free to be as creative as you like!

If you choose to complete a project:

 This should focus on activating Positive Peace within your community in a practical
manner that links your actions to the Pillars of Positive Peace.

 You are free to tailor the scope of your project to align with your vision of peace and
local context.

 Evidence of your project may take the form of a short report, essay, video, or verbal
description.

If you choose to complete a presentation:

 This should focus on presenting on IEPs research to an audience or group. You may
choose to present about Positive Peace, the Global Peace Index, the Global Terrorism
Index, the Ecological Threat Register, or any of our other reports. These are all
downloadable through our website or the Ambassador platform.

 Alternatively, you may choose to present about a specific issue (social, political, cultural,
environmental, or economic) in your community and discuss how this links to and could
be improved through strengthening the Pillars of Positive Peace.

 If you use a PowerPoint/slideshow, please remember to attach the link.

 If you are submitting a video, it should be at least 3 minutes long.

 If you complete a presentation but are unable to submit a video or slideshow, please
provide a description of your presentation.

Some important tips to remember:

 Your project/presentation must engage your community of choice. This may be your
local geographical area, your workplace, your school, or any other group that you are a
part of.
 When submitting your assignment, please remember to make links to at least one Pillar
of Positive Peace.
 Your project/presentation must have taken place in the last 12 months and must be
designed around the material you learned in the webinars.
 Your project/presentation can be completed as a group - we encourage collaboration
with others! If you choose to do this, please remember that each group member must
make an individual submission.

 Specific mention of IEPs work and findings must be made in your project/presentation.
 You may refer to and use any of IEPs research and/or resources in your
project/presentation.
 Most importantly, submitting this project/presentation is compulsory if you are to receive
a Certificate of Completion and be considered an IEP Ambassador.

Method

(How did you implement or apply Positive Peace through this project/presentation? Who was
the target audience? How many people did it include? How many people benefited from it? This
could be through the Positive Peace framework, the 8 Pillars of Positive Peace, IEP’s research)
