    Pedestrian Crossing System – Traffic light System Part 1

    You are expected to develop a ladder diagram to facilitate a pedestrian


    crossing. The following features must be added.

    G_P Green for Pedestrians


    R_P Red for Pedestrians

    R For Vehicles
    Y
    G

    1. On push of the button the Pedestrians should be given the Green


    signal (G_P) and the vehicle traffic should be stopped (R).
    2. After 20 seconds the G_P should blink every second for 10
    seconds.
    3. After completion of the 30 second time period the Red signal
    (R_P) should be indicated for the pedestrians.

    Part 2

    1. 2 seconds before turning off the Green light (G_P) for the
    pedestrians, turn on the yellow light (Y).
    2. Turn off the yellow light (Y) after 2 seconds from the pedestrian
    Green light (G_P) is turned off.
    3. Green light (G) should be turned on immediately after the yellow
    light (Y) is turned off
    Part 3

    1. There should be a 120 second time interval between two


    consecutive signals to the pedestrians.
