    Condition Report

    Soltec Quantis DeLaval 18.12.2009

    General appearance / Function:

    We were unable to open the machine hood due to a fault in the control. After the fault was
    repaired at our facility and we could inspect the tunnel and could see that there was very
    extensive contamination of flux due to lack of maintenance. The chain was completely dry
    indicationg lack of lubrication over a longer period of time. The transport speed was not constant
    due to the same lack of lubrication. Width adjust did not work and the drive motor for this was
    slipping on its clutch. Again, this is due to lack of maintenance/lubrication.

    4 of the heat zone blowers were defective and generated a great deal of noise when started.

    There was a periodical fault where the computer could not communicate with the machine
    controller. This was found to be due to a bad 24volt power conditioner which needs repair at our
    workshop.
