every day. Because of this, people discover new ways to wear scents by including them in

products. Coffee grinds and other natural ingredients make great face and body scrubs. Using

natural ingredients to help people have better skin and feel more confident in their first

product, and they think it is a solid start. So why not create and sell skincare products to assist

customers to protect their skin from environmental and internal harm, as well as to preserve

their attractiveness by appearing and feeling healthy?

Alleviate Skinvestment Co. wants to establish a company in Luzon City, NCR along

with Fairview and Commonwealth. Numerous schools and businesses, as well as high-

potential customers, exist in the area. Suitable for all ages, genders, religions, and cultures.

Alleviate Skinvestment was founded in July 2021 by Charise Flores, who first began

her curiosity in what ways to make skincare made of natural ingredients. Because of this, she

came up with the idea to formulate ingredients made of natural components, which along the

way became the HighBrew Coffee Body Scrub. Alleviate Skinvestment Co. Starts with six

(6) Staffs.

Alleviate Skinvestment Co. focuses on skin enhancement and improvement. Anyone

who wants to start using skincare products is a bath, face, and body scrub enthusiast. This is

because women are more acquainted with skincare products. Knowing your consumers

makes selling a two-in-one offering simpler. Customers are more likely to purchase a new

vii

complexion.

The strategy is to penetrate the target market. As per Alleviate Skinvestment, We are

committed to improving the customer experience in ways that they believe are unique in the

industry. Consequently, the Alleviate Skinvestment will allow customers to share their

introduce the product little by little, and give people more details each day. It includes telling

them more about the product and how it helps.

On the day of the launching of HighBrew, this is where product promotion takes place

to boost HighBrew’s insights and possible consumers. And since HighBrew is a new product

to the market Alleviate Skinvestment came up with promotional deals such as; Giveaways,

Special Discounts, and Vouchers.

Alleviate Skinvestment sales projections for the first year are 1,000 units of

HighBrew Coffee Body Scrubs. We project a 39.5% growth rate over the past 5 years.

increases the number of units that we produced in the 2nd year and 3rd year of operation to

gain more profit and meet the demand of the customer. For the income statement of the

company, as the year goes by, the net income and sales of HighBrew Coffee Body Scrub

H. SWOT Analysis

17
ALLEVIATE SKINVESTMENT

I. Porter’s five competitive forces

The threat of new entrants

There are several entry barriers in this industry. The government policies of the

industry implement strict legal requirements, therefore, making the threat of new entrants a

weak force. Alleviate Skinvesment uses organic ingredients at a reasonable price which is

new to the market where standardized products exist in the industry.

The capital requirements within the industry are high, resulting in new entrants setting

up high expenditures that are needed to be incurred. Although access to distribution is easy

for new entrants, this makes the threat of new entrants a strong force.

Supplier Power

Since HighBrew is a natural-based product, we can develop relationships with local

coffee roasters where both parties involved can benefit. While tying up also with multiple

suppliers at a low cost to ensure efficiency within its supply chain. The number of suppliers

in this industry is quite large resulting in a low differentiation of cost on inputs and switching

cost.

Threat of Substitution

There is a high risk of substitution considering various products present in the

industry that match with the pricing of HighBrew and is convenient in terms of availability

thus, making the threat of substitution a strong force within the industry. (Pre-order and

Advertisements).

18
ALLEVIATE SKINVESTMENT

Competitive Rivalry

Some existing players produce coffee scrubs. This will not be a hindrance for

Alleviate Skinvestment to not operate but to pursue more since there is a difference in terms

of price and ingredients.

Alleviate Skinvestment Co. will focus on marketing strategy on how it will be known

to the target consumers by establishing a sustainable distinction and a scale to compete better.

Buyers Power

Our Product High Brew doesn’t only focus on one gender but it is open to all. About

the population target, it includes people with the age range of 13-45 years old. We ensure that

this product will benefit them and will surely see the results afterward.

Buyers frequently have high expectations. This is a great opportunity for Alleviate

Skinvestment profitability in the long run.

19
ALLEVIATE SKINVESTMENT

J. Methodology

Data Collection

The Descriptive research method was used in gathering data to obtain the consumers

perspective about the product. Self-administered questionnaires through google forms were

distributed to the respondents. The participants were given an open time in filling up the

questionnaire. The respondents of the study are from Brgy. Commonwealth and Brgy.

Greater Fairview covering all age-bracket.

Sampling Design

The sampling technique used in choosing the respondents of the study is Probability

Random Sampling because “the technique is accurate, appropriate for the representation of a

sample and easier method to extract a research sample from a larger population. The only

requirements are that randomness governs the selection process and that each member of the

larger population has an equal probability of selection.” (De Persio, G., 2018)

The sample size shall be then determined using the formula:

N
n=
1 + Ne2

Where:

n = desired sample size

N = population size

e = sampling error

20
ALLEVIATE SKINVESTMENT

Using the formula above,

251,436
n = 1+(251,436)0.052

n = 400

Thus, the total of four hundred (400) self-administered questionnaire were distributed.

The sample survey questionnaire can be found in the Appendices.
