CBMA 1 VS.

100
Guidelines and Mechanics

I.
1 vs. 100 was based on the Dutch Game Show wherein there will be one person who will
answer the question correctly to survive "The Mob" of 100. This show was also
motivated by the Philippines called 1 vs. 100 and was hosted by the Philippine Host Edu
Manzano and first aired on ABS-CBN on August 25, 2007.

However, there is a major twist on the actual activity. The 100 participants will play
against each other and there is only one (1) winner.

II.

a. The CBMA 1vs100 will be held at Student Activity Center (SAC), STI West Negros
University on June 7, 2023, and the 1vs100 Proper will start at exactly 9:00a, m. The
participants must be at the venue 30 minutes before the scheduled time. When a
participant is not around after the start of the 1vs100 proper, the competition will start
without his/her presence.

b. The Steering Committees which composed of the CBMA Governor, Vice Governor,
Representatives per Year Level, and CBMA orgs officers shall supervise to the 1vs100
overall regulations and guidelines.

III.
In a large open area space, there will be 100 participants 34 students each organization, a
moderator, and four (4) committees that will represent the multiple choice A, B, C, D.
The committees will portray as the choices of all participants, standing in front with
spaces between and putting or holding big and clear each letter of A, B, C, and D.

The moderator is the one who will read the question and tell which letter is the correct
answer. The participants must answer the questions correctly to move to the next
number/round of the game. If the participant incorrectly answered or the participant
chose the wrong letter, he/she will be temporarily suspended to answer the next question
and will be moved to the side of the game area. The remaining participants who correctly
answered the question will automatically proceed to the next question. This will be done
until there is only one (1) participant left who will be automatically the winner of the
game.

If there is a question and all the remaining participants incorrectly answered or chose the
wrong letter, it will be back to the start of 100 participants which means all temporarily
suspended participants can re-enter the game area and will become again the participants
for that question/round.

IV.
Example Scenario

there are 100 participants, the moderator will then read the question. After the moderator
read the question and the multiple choices, the timer will start to let the participants
choose the best answer for them. In the front of the game, the area is where the four (4)
standing committees will be located which represent the multiple choice of A, B, C, D.
After the time starts, the participants will go to their chosen letter and line together with
the other participants who chose also that letter.

For example, if the moderator stated the correct answer and 76 participants only got the
correct answer or chose the correct letter, the other 24 participants will be temporarily
suspended and will be assisted to the side of the game area. The same goes for the next
question, among the 76 participants, 35 of them got the wrong or chose the wrong letter,
they will also be temporarily suspended to answer the next question and put it on the side
of the game area. The 41 participants will then proceed to the next question. Among the
41 participants, 10 participants only got the correct answer. The 10 participants will then
automatically proceed to the next question and the other 31 will be put on the side of the
game area. If among the 10 participants, only 1 participant answered correctly, then that
participant will be the winner and the game will automatically stop.

However, if the 10 participants all answered incorrectly or chose the wrong letter, the
moderator will announce that nobody got the correct answer and the game will start again
with the other 90 participants together with the last 10 participants that will re-enter the
game area and will let the cycle begin again until there will be a winner.

V.
If in case after 3 rounds of not having one (1) winner, the game will then stop by the end
of the 4th round with at least 5 or fewer participants left. The 5 or fewer participants will
automatically be the winner and the cash prize which is One thousand pesos
(P 1,000) will be divided amongst them.

VI.
The questions will be General Knowledge (Science, History, Literature, Math, and Trivia
Questions especially Christmas) the timer for each question will be 10 seconds.
