A fact is something that is true and supported


by evidence.

Ex. The Philippines is an Asian country.

An opinion is only a belief. It is also an


expression of a person’s feelings. Clue words
like “think,” “believe,” “feel,” “probably,” or
“seems” signal an opinion.

Ballet is a form of dance that tells a story or


express a thought of a feeling. It has its own special
language known to dancers and ballet audiences
everywhere. It is a language not of words but of

It is a statement that is neither true nor false. Or it
may feel true for some, but false for others.
