A1. ADMISSION
1. Become member of ICTA
2. Attended TA Basic by an ICTA Approved Trainer
3. Contract for DIPLOMA /BTA with ICTA
4. Contract for DIPLOMA / BTA with ICTA APPROVED TRAINER.
A2. DIPLOMA / BTA ADVANCE GROUP—PROCEDURES
1. The group meet will be every week online 3 hours (total 12 hours in a month) or
offline for 12 hours per month depending on the convenience of the group. The
total hours for diploma is 150 and BTA is 300 respectively.
2. If any member needs any clarification or class on any subject or theory from the
trainer, inform in advance.
3. There will be a group need /personal sharing sessions & presentation of subjects
at every meet.
4. Counselling (BTA only)/Teaching Practices/ Feedbacks in the group.
5. Sessions by trainer on advanced topics.
6. Sessions by other trainers as and when needed.
7. Personal growth sessions/ Group Dynamics/ Supervision on teaching sessions
(BTA only)/Counselling practices (BTA only)
8. Secrecy oath. Members share their personal experiences in the group. All trainees
keep strict confidentiality, and do not share it with anyone outside the group.
9. Fees to the Trainer :- Three month’s fee has to be paid in advance while joining ,
and every month has to pay the fees at group meet. One has to pay fee even during
absence from group meet also.
ICTA membership fee (Rs.500), Contract filing fee (Rs.500) & Registration for the
course (Rs.500) Total Rs.1500/-
10. Food and accommodation:- ICTA provide tea, food and accommodation to the
participants. If anybody need accommodation, should inform the group leader
three days before the meeting . Otherwise will have to arrange it their own
(Wherever Applicable).
11. All the members should join in the online mail group by giving their email id and
contact number to the leader on the joining day.
12. Members are requested to fill the trainee report and monthly log and get sign from
trainer regularly.

B1. Requirements to qualify for Diploma / BTA

1. 150 / 300 hours of Training:- Hours actually spend in Advance Training Groups
with an approved Trainer. These hours include weekly group meet, and
Marathon.
2. 25 hours of Supervision(BTA) :- Supervised training in TA, teaching with an
approved trainer.
3. 150 / 300 hours of Home Study : 5 hours a week of reading and writing.
4. Exposure to external faculty 25 hours (BTA) :- It is expected that trainee needs get
exposure to external faculty from the relevant field.
5. Attend 2 ICTA Annual conferences (NCTA).
6. Write three articles( 1 plus 2) and two book reviews(BTA).
7. Written exam submitted to ICTA : Question paper will be issued in advance to
the trainees by the trainer, and the answer sheets has to be submitted to ICTA
3 months before the exam date .
The written examination should be
o Word processed (in computer), in standard fonts at the size of 12’ (Times
new roman or Bookman Antiqua fonts )
o Presented on A4 size paper
o Printed only on one side of each page
o Each page should have good margins (2.54 cm), and must be numbered
consecutively throughout the document
o The eligibility for the diploma course is the candidate need to complete
the Transactional Analysis Basic Course by ICTA approved trainers of 12
hour duration preferably within one week.

3. Transactional Analysis Proper
Rules of Transactions, Types, Redefining, Tangential, Bulls eys, Carrom,
Gallows Types.
4. Stroke: Strokes, Stroke theory, Stroke Economy, Time Structuring.
5. Life Position : Life Position , Corralogram ,
6. Psychological Games: Games, Drama Triangle, Role of Emotions ,Racket
system , stamp collection
7. Script : Script theory, Counter scripts, Process Scripts, Injunctions, Drivers,
Script Matrix, Mini Script
8. Discount : Discounting , Discount Matrix
9. Frame Of Reference : Frame of Reference ,Role of Perception, Role of Script
10. Symbiosis
First order , second order, competitive and hierarchical types.
11. Passivity : Passivity , Passive behaviour
12. Redefining : Redefining , Redefining Transactions
13. Autonomy : Autonomy, Autonomy Vs. Script
14. Child Development : Child Development theories –-- Psycho-sexual, Psycho-
social
15. Triology : Triology theory , GK frame.

Game and Script Analysis through theory presentation sessions personal
counselling and group processes like reporting, sharing, group counselling and
therapy sessions.
2.Counseling- Meaning and definitions, History, Schools of Counseling, Group
Counseling skills theory and practice.
3.Non-Directive & Transactional Analysis Counselling.
4.Groups : Structure , Dynamics, Imago, Teams , Leadership
5. Principles of Group Treatment ,Detailed study of symbiosis, discounting
,passive behaviours, Game and Racket Analysis.
6. Case presentation with five verbatims / video.
7. Conduct one TA Basic Course with supervision.
8.Two book review of Dr. Eric Berne
9. Redecision Therapy, Procedures and Practice.
