FORMAL DEBATE
Work in a group of eight members. Think of a controversial issue in your own community
that will serve as a proposition. Divide your group into two, with each group taking either the
affirmative or the negative side. In your own group, write down below the arguments with
supporting evidence. Finally, conduct a formal debate. Be guided with the rubric.
