RCS 4.20 is bringing some exciting features
that will help strengthen our partnerships
in the USA. The improvements made to
increases are already helping us develop
opportunities for automation in a key mar-
ket with large business potential for the US
Customer Center.
Our customers are excited to have the Time
Usage Model feature to better track their
performance on availability and utilization
targets which will help drive continuous im-
provement.
The new Real Time Data feature will be a
game changer on monitoring asset health.
The potential savings that analyzing Real
Time Data will bring to a customer in reduc-
ing unplanned downtime will have a large
impact on the bottom line.

Feature spotlight

Time Usage Model

With this software release, we have transitioned
across our products from a delay code system to
a time usage model system. The implementation
has closely followed the Global Mining Guidelines
framework in an effort to promote all the benefits of a
standard model. This shared definition of TUM allows
decisions to made directly from the control system all
the way across the value chain.
Changes have occurred in the Rig Control System
as well as the office products to allow management
and transfer of codes under defined categories. The
operators have a new interface when selecting codes,
including a quick select menu as well as a detailed
categorical view of codes to ensure effective use of
the functionality.

Our RCS Time Usage Model is defined within Surface Manager against the Global Guidelines Mining Group framework. This defi-
nition is also used for standard reporting of operational time usage in Surface Manager for powerful insights to how your assets
are being utilized within the context of rich Surface Manager data.
