I. DONNING AND REMOVAL OF GLOVES
Sterile Gloves/Surgical Gloves (appropriate size) 2-5 pairs (1 extra pair for practice) Clean Gloves
II. HAND HYGIENE
liquid soap (1 bottle) water source paper towel (1 pack)
III. MONITORING VITAL SIGNS
Body temperature: o Digital thermometer o Cotton balls with alcohol in a small container Pulse and Respiration: o Wrist watch with second hand (NOT DIGITAL) Blood Pressure: o Stethoscope o Sphygmomanometer (ANEROID TYPE)
IV. WOUND CARE
Sterile gloves and clean gloves Drape/small towel Sterile set or individual supplies that include: o Plain Normal Saline Solution (irrigating solution), usually 200cc to 500cc o Antiseptic Solution (Povidone Iodine) o 4 x 4 Sterile Gauze squares (10 pcs) Sterile dressing set or individual supplies that include: o Small Container for the antiseptic solution o One pair of thumb forceps – toothless o Two pairs of kelly forceps (straight and curved) o Sterile container for irrigating solution (Kidney basin) 70% Isopropyl alcohol Micropore or Adhesive tape Wet cotton balls in a small container One pair of bandage scissors Yellow plastic trash bin (for infectious wastes)
