Blood and lymph are the two most important body fluids in the human body. Blood comprises of plasma,
white blood cells, red blood cells, and platelets

Types of Body Fluids

SPILL MANAGEMENT
MANAGEMENT OF MAJOR SPILL : More than 10cm)
MANAGEMENT OF MINOR SPILL

➢ More than 30ml is a Major spill .


➢ In the event of any spill on the floor.
➢ Identify the spill/Put the sign board near the spill/Inform to floor Supervisor also.
➢ Isolate the Area and bring the spill kit.
➢ Wear the PPE and Marking the Area.
➢ Put the tissue paper over the spill.
➢ Spray the hypochlorite solution on tissue paper and leave it for 15min. Dilution (1%) 1 part of Hypochlorite
solution and 3 parts of water/NADCC Tablets 36 tablets of 1 liter Water.
➢ After 15 to 20 minutes remove the tissue paper with glove hand put it in yellow color cover.
➢ Again spray the hypochlorite solution clean the area.
➢ Lastly mop with Bacillocid solution and Remove the PPE and discard in the yellow bin.
➢ Wash the hands and replace the spill kit.
➢ Fill the incident form & Call and Inform the all staff\DONE.
