Interpretation of Dreams by Freud

Sigmund Freud, a psychoanalyst has always been a keen observer of dreams. He believed that

dreams are the unfulfilled wished and that’s why studying dreams and interpreting it would

be helpful in understand the personality and hidden wishes of the client. He started with

observing his own dreams and then started interpreting dreams of his patients. This historic

event in the field of psychology led to a new era of interpretation of dreams. Later he wrote

book on interpretation of dreams and later the book was translated to many languages. At first

the book wasn’t sold much but later it got recognition in many countries. Today,

psychologists use this technique to study the hallucinations and illusions of their clients along

with the personality of their client.
