SCENE 1
Rizal is writing something at the table, he is so focused that he ignores the shouts of the Spanish guards outside his cell. He
continues on writing as sweat trickles down his forehead. The guard leaves Rizal. He quickly folds the paper up and hides it in a
small lamp.
SCENE 2
Teodora Alonzo, Lucia, Josefa, Trinidad, Maria and Narcisa were all about to board a carriage, as they just came from visiting
Rizal, before they could leave, a guard ran up to them delivering a small oil lamp. The Rizal ladies take the lamp and brings it
home, but not before Trinidad tells them that Pepe told her that there was something in the lamp.
SCENE 3
Flashback to Rizal in a meeting with other influential Filipino People as they discuss the establishment of a nonviolent reform
society called the La Liga Filipina. Andres meets Rizal and asks why he returned even though he would’ve been better off outside
the country. Time pass and Rizal makes his way home.
SCENE 4
Rizal wakes up to the sound of yelling as he is arrested and sent to be exiled to Dapitan.
SCENE 5
It has been 4 years since he was exiled. Rizal has fully assimilated himself into Dapitan. Rizal teaching kids as he talks about it
being his last day before he is sent back to Manila.
SCENE 6
SCENE 7
Rizal is arrested for sedition as the government believes he has ties with the KKK, and he placed in a cell. The very same cell in
Scene 1
SCENE 8
Back to the present, Rizal is being escorted to his execution, as his family reads the poem, they read it side by side with one family
member reading one stanza and Rizal the next alternating until the poem ends.
SCENE 9
The play ends with Rizal alone reciting the final line of mi ultimo pensamiento.

Guard 1: Rizal.
Guard 1: Rizal!
Guard 1: RIZAL!
SCENE 2 SCRIPT
Josefa: Wala tayong magagawa kundi patibayin ang ating puso sa hindi maiiwasan
Guard: Tigil!
The ladies stare at the lamp before proceeding into the carriage
Maria: Oo nga
Teodora: What?
Trinidad: Mayroong sinabi si Pepe sa akin kanina. Tungkol sa isang lamparang may laman na sulat.
Rizal: Mga natatanging kung kapatid, nais kung inyong batidin ang dahilan
Rizal: Aba ay oo nga, ang pagpupulong ng mga indibidwal ngayon ay ang makakapaghatid sa ating bansa patungo sa
mas maunlad na estado.
La liga member 3: At paano mo naman ito gagawin ginoong Rizal? Alam kong ikaw ay siyang matalinong ginoo ngunit, ito
ay isang pangarap lamang.
Rizal: Tanging libre ang mangarap kapatid, at sa panahon nating ito, walang sinoman ang hindi inaasam ang Kalayaan.
La liga member 3: Ikaw ay may punto, ngunit hind inga ba mas mainam kung tayo ay simpleng mamuhay nang marangya
kaysa sa isawsaw ang ating mga paa sa maduming batis ng himagsikan?
La liga member 1: Ito ay isang duwag na ideya, ngunit may punto siya.
Rizal: May punto ka kapatid, hindi natin kailangan makisali sa gulo. Ngunit kung ganyan ka mag-isip ay walang kang
pinagkaiba sa isang bato.
Rizal: Isang batong walang mararating, isang batong walang mithiin sa buhay. Mayroon lang akong tanong sa iyo ginoo.
Andres: Ginoong Rizal, isang karangalan, na makilala kayo. Pagkatapos kung Mabasa ang Noli me Tangere at El
Filibusterismo, ay ginising nito ang aking puso.
Andres: Bakit ninyo napilian na umuwi sa Pilipinas? Tiyak na mas magiging ligtas at marangya ang inyong buhay kung
kayoy nanatili sa Europa.
Rizal: Mayroon kang punto kapatid, ngunit aanhin ko ang salapi at karangyaan kung ang sarili kong pamilya at bayan ay
tinutuligsa ng mga mananakop.
Rizal: Bago ka aalis, ay pwede ko bang malaman ang iyong pangalan kapatid?
SCENE 4
*Natutulog si Rizal*
GUARD 1: Rizal!
GUARD 1: Jose Protacio Rizal Mercado y Alonzo Realonda, kailangan mong sumama sa amin ngayundin!
SCENE 5
Rizal: A!
MGA BATA: A!
Rizal: BA!
RIZAL: DA!
Rizal: Oo, ang mga bata ay ang pag-asa ng bayan, sila ang magdadala sa ating nayon patungo sa mas mataas na estado.
At ang iniibig kong sabihin ay kayo.
Nais ko na ang lahat ng mga bata ay may hilig sa pag-aaral at may tinatanging pagka malikhain gaya mo.
