audit
The first activity to perform is that of an Audit on Street Art and Graffiti
that has been commissioned, curated and funded by the City of Port
Phillip.
The reason for the Audit, is to identify the Artworks, locations and
information and collate it into a Spreadsheet.

"Street Art and Graffiti are a familiar sight in cities around the world. Tagged walls
simultaneously claim territory and become the backdrops to fashion shoots and music
videos, while painted murals are sought out by tourists and even commissioned by
international clothing brands. But are street art and graffiti the same thing, or do they
have different histories, meanings and practitioners? Who makes street art, and who
buys it? Can it be exhibited in a gallery or must it be located on the street?"
Both Street Art and Graffiti are both in Public space but the perceptions of each vary
depending on the type of Street Art or Graffiti. This Mobile Application will guide users to
a variety of Artworks and educate them once at each location.

review
A review will take place once the Audit is done to check that Artworks,
locations, Photography, Information and relative content is correct and
up to date.
Key internal staff and officers will be included in reviewing the data to
make sure we have captured all the Artworks and that nothing has
been missed.
The review will also act as a sign off of Stage two and then can be
integrated into the Development of the Mobile Trail Art Map.

development
The development of the App will be done through Glideapps.com which is an easy to use
platform. An Art Trail template has been specifically designed for the use of Public Art.
https://www.glideapps.com/
While at Yarra City Council I developed a Public Art Trail Mobile Application using this
platform. You can view the App using the link below.
http://yarracityarts.app/
The App is used to internally manage their Public Art Collection and also externally for
locals and visitors to experience their Art in Public Space.

development cont..
The creation of this App will be predominantly developed internally by
Jah Smith - Graffiti Management Officer. A draft App has been put
together using the Street Art Collection data provided, along with the
recent St Kilda Junction project with over 80 individual Graffiti pieces.
marketing + launch
Walking Walls is the name given for the CoPP Art Trail Mobile App.
Branding of 'Walking Walls' is currently in development and treatments
will be developed as we add additional features and complete the App
for internal testing and use.
Once the App has been tested and trialed internally. A launch will be
organised to include community, internal staff and anyone else on a
specific launch art tour that will guide those involved around to certain
artworks.
It will engage users to experience a guided tour through the streets via
their mobile device and will share in depth information about the
artworks including but not limited to Artists involved, meanings behind
the artworks and additional information in relation to the artwork they
are viewing.
On its launch, I will work closely with Comms and Marketing to promote
the app and its availability for our city to use and experience.
This App will also coincide with procedures around Covid-19 and will
also assist in locals getting out and about the city if in lockdown or not.
