How to Install an App on an iPhone

Overview
In these instructions, you will learn how to properly install an app onto your iPhone using your
app store. These instructions can be used for any iPhone that is model 5 and up. Downloading
an app can be done on cellular service or on Wi-Fi.

Installing the App

1. Unlock the iPhone and go to the home screen.
2. Find the blue app labeled “App Store” on the home screen as seen below.
NOTICE: If you can’t find the app swipe down on the home screen and a search bar will
appear. Type “App Store” into the search bar. *

3. Tap on the icon labeled “Search” in the bottom right corner as seen in below.

4. Next, tap on the search bar on the top of the screen.

5. Type in the name of the app you are looking to download.
6. Once the app is found, tap the blue “GET” icon.

Notice: Once the icon is tapped, it will turn into a circle. That indicates the app is installing.
When it is done, the blue “GET” icon will turn into a blue “OPEN” icon.
7. When you tap the “GET” icon, you will be asked to put in your Apple ID password, face
recognition, or password that is used to unlock your iPhone. If the app cost money, the
 “GET” icon will be the price of the app. You will need to provide a source of payment
after tapping the icon to install the app.
8. Tap on the blue “OPEN” icon to be brought to the app.
