EVENT PURPOSE: PRESENTATION OF PROBLEM AND OPPORTUNITY

People usually define their values, dignity, and worth through their own definition or what
the world has set. This leads to a distorted view of what is true and right, often opposing
what God originally intended for humanity.

However, the truth that God created us in His image and likeness still stands whether
people do it out of confusion, ignorance, or rebellion. Therefore, the objective truth is, He
defines our value, worth, identity, and purpose.

When students define their values based on how God originally intended, it will show in the
way they live and is also expressed in how they relate with others according to how God
designed it to be.

A single event is not enough to fully cover and unbox the richness and depth of the topics
that will be discussed. However, we hope this will start new opportunities for our students
for meaningful conversations, forge new friendships, and empower them to engage in
meaningful conversations on current social issues.
OBJECTIVES
I. Theological Understanding

We want the students to have a foundational & biblical understanding of God’s

design for manhood and womanhood, resulting in a renewed mind, clarity and security
in their identity, and missional living.*

II. Legal Awareness and Action

We want the students to have a deeper lens on the legal basis of the law that is currently
being reviewed in Congress about the Anti-Discrimination Bill and SOGIE Bill. By
gaining awareness and understanding, students can reason with good judgment
based on a strong theological foundation and their understanding of the truth on
current legal issues so they’ll be empowered to engage in conversations on social
issues.

TARGET AUDIENCE
PRIMARY: ENC STUDENT LEADERS AND INTERNS

■ Students who are already saved and were reached out pre-pandemic and during
the pandemic.
■ Students who are already saved and may or may not fully understand the depth of
Imago Dei
■ Currently leading a LIFE GROUP or Victory Group (Victory Group leaders)
■ Currently identified as next-in-line Victory Group leaders (Victory Group Interns)
■ Active in our Youth Service and various ministry events
■ They are mostly high school and college students
■ They are active on social media and are exposed to different ideologies discussed
on different social media platforms.

SECONDARY: ENC VOLUNTEERS AND HAND PICKED VICTORY GROUP LEADERS

FROM LOCAL CHURCHES
■ Young Professional or Married Volunteers who are actively leading students in
Campus Ministry
■ Working Professionals who will greatly benefit from this event to help them be
effective in their line of work. (discretion of local church who will attend)
INSIGHT AND TRUTH
God created us in His own image and likeness,and He alone is the one to define our
value, worth, identity, and purpose.

Knowing that God defines our identity and sexuality, this will be expressed on how we
make decisions, and how we relate with others.

To Think:
- My understanding of the Imago Dei will help me be a better citizen of the world.
- I will embrace the truth that our value and dignity inherently comes from being
created in God's likeness and image.
- I will see other people not with man-made labels but as people who are
image-bearers of God, with value and dignity.
- I will anchor my identity in God. When we understand our God-given identity,
transformed to live according to his divine order.
- I won’t seek my own agenda but God’s agenda, purposes and His kingdom.
- I long to see the fully redeemed humanity based on the Imago Dei.

To Do:
- I will extend compassion and help others who are struggling with identity.
- I will seek to have loving and healthy relationships built in Him.
- I will not live in isolation but value community and appreciate the different people
God has placed in our lives.
- I will steward and exercise our God-given rights & dominion in light of His mission.
- I will represent God as a faithful image-bearer in this world until
- He completely restores the entire creation to Himself.
- I can engage in healthy conversations that are rooted in Imago Dei.
