Lyn Amyl. A school girl with a normal life. She always thought that her life was boring and uneventful,
she always wished that she could turn her life over and live a life like a fantasy novel. One day her
prayers came true, her prayer to make her life her definition of ‘fun'. A world that has become
completely a mess.

“Ok class, while we go review a bit more you all can pack your bags.“

The teacher said. I was putting all my pens back into my pencil case when a pen rolled onto the floor. I
then crouched down to go get the rolling pen when.

Crash

All the windows broke when millions of big to small flying monsters burst through. It all happened so
quickly that none were able to scream. All the heads of my classmates and teacher went rolling down to
the floor. I got up from under my desk. Seeing as in the floor was basically flooding with blood and the
white walls were painted with red, I instinctively looked outside the broken window. The world had
become a ruin but I somehow felt excited.

Outside I saw a huge typhoon in the middle of a neighbourhood swarming with those monsters. It
wasn’t moving and just staying still like it’s doing a some kind of ritual. The neighbourhood below it had
almost become ruined and destroyed. Only some houses on the far side were still intact. After looking
out the truth of what’s become, I left the classroom and stepped outside.

The hallways had become a blood bath. The students and teachers who were unfortunate enough to be
in the hallways were all decapitated and left nothing but their bodies. The heads of the people were
gone most likely taken by the unknown monsters. Unknowingly a smile suddenly appeared on my face. I
walked in the left direction of were my classroom was. My school uniform had become almost drenched
in blood.

I kept walking forward until I saw the science labs door. The science lab door which had a big enough
window to see inside. I saw a girl and a boy standing near the window while in shock with their
classmates and teacher lying headless. One looked panicked, looked as if he was about to die from fear.
I open the door calmly.

Both of them looked my way simultaneously meeting my gaze. I leaned against the door frame and
crossed my arms.

“So how did you survive? “

“w-what do you mean? “ The girl spoke.

“ How did you survive that kind of attack from a monster? “

“uh.... I uhh, So w-we “survived” because of my s-sisters instincts ... She said that to duck then those s-
scary m-monsters suddenly burst through then thi-“

“you two are siblings? “ I cut the brothers words off before hearing more useless words.

“yes. And who are you exactly?“ the supposed ‘sister’ who looked like a tomboy answered.

“Oh, I survived cause my pen rolled off my desk. “

“you're dodging my question. “

“my name is Lyn and you two are.... “

“ my name is Aria the other one is my twin brother Vled. “

“are you here to save us? “ Vled had said as if he was in a fictional novel.

“ lol you really think anyone’s going to save us now? Look at the outside world it has become a mess. “

“but your the only person that-“

“there could be other people why does it have to be me? “

“ As you said. The world had changed, and what is wrong with us following you around? Who knows we
could be of help. “

“I’m not some kind of heroin that can safe people, not that I think. I had always just been some kind of
‘commoner'. I have no special super powers too but I hope that you can take us in and we could be a
team recruit other people and save lives of the remaining living people-“

“ok, ok I get it four eyes. You two can follow me or whatever. “ I frowned as hearing this stupid four
eyed nerd, Vled. Is making me want to bleed out. This four eyed freak is so, so, so, loud and noisy. how
could he be of use to me?

“Then can we follow you? “ somehow it looks as if Vleds eye brighten.

“Yeah yeah whatever. “

I went out of the classroom. Soon the four eyes followed me like a dog totally ignoring and forgetting of
the dead bodies in which he was previously scared to death by. The sister followed as well. I was
expecting a reaction from the two when looking at the bloody halls but, they didn’t seem to even flinch,
like this had ever happened.

I checked in almost all the classrooms on the floor we were on. The highest floor, there was nothing
obviously, everyone brought nothing but books and pens. So we went down. Halfway through the stairs
when.

“ah... Uhh.. Lyn.. Could we go to the toilet... I really need to go.. “

“... “

“ ugh.... Okay I’ll be going now... “

We all went to the same bathroom, ‘male', why? Does it even matter now that the world has become
like this?

“I guess I’ll go use the bathroom as well. “

Aria went to go open one of the stall doors.

Boom

A straight punch towards Arias left cheek was dealt. Aria rubbed her cheek with her hand while glaring
at the man who punched her, dealing a harder, stronger, heavier punch towards him. I admire her
strength from afar.

“Guys sorry it took long, I just couldn’t find any tissue paper. Huh? Whose that man??”

“oh, hey four eyes. took you long enough. “

Aria glared at me. “Don’t call him that, or do you want a beating up too?” I giggled when she said that.

The guy who punched Aria and now being interrogated by us has a really good physique and probably
works out at the gym. He seems to be our senior and one of the top students seeing his special name tag
on his uniform, his face is quite decent as well. “Who are you? “ Aria questioned with a harsh tone.
“Augh, please don’t hit me again, I’m sorry for hitting you I though you were the monster that was
chasing me. “

“monster that was chasing you? “

“look there’s a monster that was practically chasing me when I went out the classroom so I hid here! “

“what does the monster look like. “

“it practically looks like a demon possessing one of our teachers.. “

“tell us what you know punk. “ Aria, who was holding her fist high ready to hit him again was stopped by
a question from four eyes. “Senior Lian? Is that you? You look completely different from our morning
class, this morning you looked like a stick, did you eat a drug or something? “

“it’s not some drug! It’s like a power up!“

“power up? What do you mean a power up? A power up drug???”

“aughh.. It’s like a menu in a video game that let’s you power up! your smart, you scored higher than
me, but how could you be so stupid in this. ”

“hey punk don’t talk to my brother like that and tell us how to do this ‘power up', if you don’t I’ll beat
you to pulp. “ Aria was cracking her fingers in a attempt to threaten the guy.

He looked as if a ghost possessed him. “sure, fine but please let go of my collar uhh.. Girl number two. “

I let go of his collar and he soon stood up. “thank you.. “

“Lyn.” “thank you Lyn. “

Lian explained, “just think of opening it.” It was weird but he said it worked like that for him. I was
thinking about how on opening the menu when instantly a hologram appeared in front of my eyes. Text
started to form and like he said, a menu appeared.

The menu had five options: profile, shop, auction, missions and buddy helper.

I tried opening the shop when a message appeared.

‘This feature can only be unlocked after obtaining a buddy! ‘

I tried opening the other, auction, and the same message appeared. I scratched my head roughly in
anger then I tried opening missions. The ‘Missions' tab opened. I looked through the task that was given
but there was only one objective : ‘slay the demon possessed teacher. ‘

‘The demon possessed teacher ‘ seems to be the teacher which Lian was talking about. I look below to
see the prize : ‘can select one skill. ‘

I looked excited seeing the prize but I still don’t know a plan to defeat the monster that I haven’t even
seen. I open profile, ‘your full profile cannot be displayed. Can only see basic attributes and level up. ‘

All my attributes: strength, physique, magic power, mana, agility. Were all level one. I could see other
options but it was locked by a black hovering text saying ‘unlock later ‘
