CRYING STONE

Narrator: In a very small village, a girl lives with her mother. The girl is very beautiful.
Everyday she puts on her best clothes. She doesn’t like her mother, her mother works in a
field. The girls is very lazy
Mother: My girl could you please accompany me to the market to buy some food?
Girl: Mom, I don’t want to! I said I DON’T WANT TO!
Mother: I will buy you new clothes if you accompany me to the market.
Girl: Fine! But you must walk behind me I don’t want to be embarrassed walking side to side
with you.
Narrator: The mother was very sad but agreed anyways. On the way to the market, everybody
admires the girl’s beauty. They are also curious, behind the beautiful girl, there was an old
woman with a simple dress.
A person passing by: Hello pretty lady, who is the person behind you?
Girl: She is my servant.
Narrator: The mother was very sad, again they ask who is she, she answered again that she
was a servant, at last the mother could not hold it anymore so she prayed.
Mother: Please punish my daughter, she is very selfish and rude!
Narrator: God answered her prayers. Slowly the girls leg turns into stone, the process
continues until the upper part of the body, the girl panicked.
Girl: Mother! Please forgive me
Narrator: The girls cries and asked her mother to forgive her, but its too late her whole body
became stone. Until now, people can still see the tears of the girl falling down from the stone.
Moral: Always respect your parents and never be selfish.
