SYPNOSIS

Ayenna Klein Sarmiento, Alissa Trix Helano, and Amelia Rhys

Velasco always stick to each other. There were no times you could see them
without missing one. being inseparable since high school and being the number
one headache to their parents. Growing up, having birthdays, their first period,
their ups and downs—they are always together. Even time and place cannot
take them down or anything in this world. Promises they make always come
true. Being smart, cool, and fun makes them feel complete and true to
themselves. But as time goes by, getting older, getting wiser, and having a
touch of reality, things start to change from how they used to be. Like a tree, as
it grows and gets older, it starts to change in the blink of an eye. Falling leaves
and branches, flowers blooming, the changing color of the leaves—everything is
not the same as it was. Ignoring, missing birthdays, blaming, and breaking
promises Being disrespectful, cold, and slutty makes them fall apart. realizing
they are not getting younger and the meaning of life to them. Everything
change. What would be the changes as time passed and fate blurred in their
hands?
PROLOGUE
Ayenna Klein P.O.V.
Soulmates: a person who is perfectly suited to another in
temperament.

A new day begins as the sun rises, and a sunset finishes as a new day
begins. Everything ends, and no one stays the same, and being here makes no
sense. My parents have high expectations of me. I don’t think I can ever
disappoint them. They meet because of arranged marriage. And I am the
product of their business love for each other. But they still did their part as my
parent though. There were no times they can ever make me sad. Even though
they do not love each other they stay faithful to each other which is so
wonderful. My mom was an influential model in terms of business and my father
was the son of the CEO of the golden sun group company. And I am their
daughter Ayenna Klein Cordova Sarmiento. Well, I’m still not yet known by their
name, but I know I will be like them someday.
As I finished organizing my stuff I hear my mom calling me.
“Ayenna! Come down for breakfast.” My mom shouted.
“Coming!” I took my things and take a glance to my room if ever I forgot
something and I lock the door after that.
After I come down I saw mom just finished preparing our breakfast at our dinner
table. I kissed my father on his cheeks, followed my mom, did the same to her,
and sat down across from her.
“so how’s school honey?” my mother asked.
“fine,” I said and took the meal from her after she finish.
“I give a high amount of donation at your school for you to learn better, Ayenna.
So don’t you ever disappoint me and I hear that there’s a selection for student
government that happening in your school am I right?” he asked me.
“yes, dad. But I don’t think I can ever participate there since I have so much that
I need to do in school.” I know what comes next to this but as much as possible
I don’t want to put too much responsibility on myself because I don’t think I am
fit for that role.
“why? I don’t see any reason for you not to join?” he said and stared intently at
me.
I turn with mom but she’s casually eating there while I and dad are conversing.
Tinitigan ko si mom ng matagal hoping na makuha ko attention niya pero wala
she’s still casually eating like nothing is happening in front of her. Napalunok na
lang ako ng maiigi dahil sa tension na binibigay sa akin ni dad.
“I don’t think that I am fit for that role and I don’t have time to do that since I
have too much school works I have to do. And leadership is not for me.” I avoid
eyeing him after I said that and continue my eating.
Narinig ko na lang siya magbuntong hininga at kumain na rin narinig ko si
mommy na sumali sap ag uusap naming.
“Hon it’s ok for her not to join since she is shes good in terms of academics?
Siya pa nag nangunguna for valedictorian in her batch. So don’t worry if she
didn’t want to participate in that student government.” My mom said and smiled
at me. Sobra ang saya ko nung sinabi ni mommy yon kay daddy kaya tumingin
ako sa kanya.
“yes dad there’s nothing to worry about,” I said and give him a reassuring smile.
Nagbuntomg hininga siya. “ ok but I don’t want someone to go up on that stage
and someone other than you will have that title of valedictorian. Do you
understand?”
“yes of course dad,” I promised him.
“good. Don’t make me disappoint darling.” He said and got up with mom. They
both kissed me on the forehead and bid me their goodbyes.
After I finished my breakfast I got up from my seat and pick up my things before
I leave the house I already call Mang Simon our family driver to take me to my
school. After I hop in our car I check my phone if ever there is an update
regarding our school schedule for this month. On our school page, I
immediately saw the nominations for our student government and there’s one
familiar name that caught my eye.
Acer Ysach Tolento

He’s that man I met last night at the birthday party of dad business partner.
They said he’s the eldest son of the Tolento Food chain company and he’s the
heir of their business. There are so many rumors going around about him but I
wonder if it’s true.

Well, I admit he’s truly handsome.

As I was busy on my phone I didn’t know that we were already here. I got up
and go out in our car. Nagmasid masid ako sa parking lot at wala pang mga tao
masyado. I check my watch and its still 6:45 I still have time before our class
start. Sinabi ko na rin sa driver ang time ng dismissal namin. Inayos ko ang suot
kong uniform at pumasok na school.
After the flag ceremony pina-akyat na kami sa kanyang kanyang room naming
and I am in third floor of our building. I’m ABM student since graduating na ako
kaya tambakan ang pinagagawa sa amin. Pagdating ko sa room naming Nakita
ko na agad sina Miyuki at sina Herlaine. Pumunta agad sa upuan ko malapit sa
kanila.
“Hi, good morning” I greeted them and they only smiled at me and go back to
what they were talking about completely ignoring me, I just smiled at myself and
sit at my desk. I did some advanced reading in the meantime since our class
hasn’t started yet. Rinig na rinig ko ang pinag kwekwentuhan nila about sa mga
boyfriend nila. Pero ang pumukaw ng pansin ko ay yung boyfriend ni herlaine
ay may bagong kalandian.
“girl it’s the best decision yung ginawa mo na pakikipaghihiwalay sa kanya di
mo deserve yon masyadong fuck boy I thought pa nga he will change for
youkasi mahal ka niya, pero pinaasa ka lang pala baka hindi ka niya talaga
mahal kaya pinagpalit ka niya sa iba hahahahaah.” Hirit ng isang kasama pa
nila pagkatapos niyang sabihin yon ay biglang nagtawanan din yung iba.
Nakitang kong sinamaan ni herlaine yung babae kaya napatigil sa pagtawa sila.
“what do you guys know? Eh alam niyo nga lang kung pano lumandi at humarot
sa halos lahat ng lalaki here eh and for your information I didn’t expect him to
change for me and he loves me.” Inis niyang sabi ng biglang sinara ni Miyuki
ang foundation ng malakas at napunta ang atensyon nila.

“why? Do you think if ever they broke up he will come to one of you and change
for you huh? Your face is just worthy as my ass. Don’t get too dreamy; you
might not wake up to the realization that he's not into trash .” Dagdag niya pa,
dahil sa inis umalis na ka agad ang mga alipores pagkatapos ay pag bell hudyat
na magsisimula na ang klase.
“Are you ok?” bulong ko kay Herlaine. Malapit lang kami sa isat isa katabi ko sa
kanan si herlaine at sa harap niya si Miyuki kaya Madali lang kami nakakapag
usap.

“of course not, Jake just cheated on me on some girl he met at the bar last
night, and I saw them fucking making out at the parking lot, and after that, he’s
been ignoring me since then. He’s the first person that ever did that to me, like
uhhhhhhh I can’t just believe it. Am I not enough for him to find someone? Oh
my gosh, I can’t believe him because of what he did we are now the talk of this
whole school and because of him my reputation got worse.” She grunted at me.
Should I say or not?
I ask myself because I’ve been dying to ask this.
“aren’t you and jake broken up two days ago?” I said and all of the attention of
my classmates was focused on me because of what I said. I saw the disbelief
on Helaine and Miyuki’s faces because of what I said. Napalunok na lang ako
sa hiya at umayos sa upo ko at iniwasan na sila ng tingin.

Well now I know I shouldn’t say that.

I was safe because Ma’am Rho just got in and we ask to properly arrange our
things.
“ok good morning class.” Ma’am Rho greeted us.
“good morning too, Ma’am” we greeted back.

“ so before we start I like all of you to meet your new classmate, she’s from
America so I hope you would treat her like how you all treat your classmate.
Please come in, Miss Velasco.” She said.

Pagkapasok pa lang niya ay biglang napatayo si Herlaine sa tabi ko at kitang

kita mo ang galit at gulat sa mukha which is same din sa mga kaklase ko at kay
Miyuki. Tinignan ko yung babae at you can say that shes so beautiful like a
goddess she can even beat Herlaine when its term of pretty face because her is
so godly beauty. Shes just smiling in front of us and giving us a innocent look.
“Miss Roldez why are you standing up? Is there something wrong?” Maam Rho
asked.
“nothing Ma’am.” Sabi niya at umupo na pero halatang halata pa rin sa mukaha
niya ang galit at inis sa mukha niya. Napansin ko ang sobrang higpit ng hawak
niya sa palda niya kaya hinawakan ko kamay niya pero tinaboy niya kaya
umayos na lang ako ng upo.

“Miss Velasco can you introduce yourself to the class.”

“ of course ma’am,” she said

”Hi everyone my name is Amelia Rhys Velasco I hope I can be friends with all
of you. Please take care of me”
